Coca-Cola Fabric up for grabs by
Lisa Caryl
Hi everyone....
I'm doing some spring cleaning in my sewing room today. For now, I have a
grouping of Coca-Cola fabrics that are up for grabs. There are 5 pieces.
They were salesman samples and are odd sized, but large. I think they would
equal out to at least a fat quarter each. About 27" long by...

template for fast wedding ring quilt... by
Cappy
About three weeks ago, I was up at the crack of dawn finishing up some floral
arrangements that needed to be out the door by 9:30. I had the local PBS
channel on in the background. One of the quilt shows had a woman demonstrating
this nifty plastic template for a quilt-as-you-go wedding ring...

Path Through Jerusalem by
NightMist
I've a notion to make my mom a quilt.
I know that this is a hazard, being as how she generally has always
felt about homemade, but there you go.
I was thinking of a Path Through Jerusalem quilt, problem being that I
haven't seen one for at least 20 years, though I saw several as a kid
traveling...

Rose Hip Soup by
Quilterin
Hi,
I found a number of recepies for rose hip soup, as you mentioned that
you ate it cold, I think it might be this one (can be eaten hot or cold,
other, different recepies mention that they should be eaten very hot):
300 gr. rose hips
1 liter water
pinch of salt
50 gr. sugar

OT - Sorta Not - Just when you thought there was nothing left to quilt - Long by
WitchyStitcher
We had a snow day today, which was very surprising, since we really
didn't have snow. But, I guess they had to make the call by 4 am and
then it was snowing hard and they were predicting snow and sleet and
ice.
Well, my principal asked me to recreate a project I did last year and
she lost. I had...

If I put my mind to it.... by
nbhilyard
Earlier this year I bought a wonderful group of fabrics: a print with pink,
green, yellow, purple, turquoise leaves on a mottled blue background; plus a
yard each of tone-on-tone in those colors. I thought I'd make a summer
dress and top, though I didn't have a pattern in mind. On Monday...

Yeah! I got another SM by
Barbara Raper
I went to a church yard sale and there was this lonely looking older
Dressmaker SM just waiting on a table for me to pick it up! It has a
handle, is lightweight, has a free arm AND the extension arm, AND------was
in a carrying case that wasn't made for the machine. Since it was 11:00 AM
and HOT,...

I'm beginning to look for a sewing machine cabinet. Actually I'm looking for
the kind like Quilter's Dream from Horn of America, since I would have it
open all the time. I'd love to have your comments on quality, features to
look for, recommended manufacturers, good sources,...

back from retreat by
DebsPrintOnIt
Three of us left Fri. afternoon and got a room for two nights to get lots of
stitching done. We visited two quilt shops as well. The housekeepers thought
we were strange when all we wanted was new towels and saw all our stuff
everywhere ans two sewing machines working away. We got lots done. ...

Fabric Transfer?? by
Puffins
I figured out how to attach a piece of cotton fabric to a piece of freezer
paper and run it through my printer. Naturally, I did a test and washed a
portion of it and the whole pictures disappeared.
Is there a way to run this through your printer and put it on a quilt? I'm
thinking of having my...

I was wondering where you were; glad to know there was nothing 'new'
wrong. Coincidentally, we saw a few snippets of the current state of
New Orleans in our news bulletin at lunchtime. It doesn't take much of
an imagination stretch to think what the rest of Louisiana, and the
other badly affected...
