Janner
OK, I don't know 3 posts in a day!
Anyway, I want to make a wall hanging to cover a glass partition wall in
our house. It has little panes of glass about 12" x 18". My idea being
that I make a quilted rectangle with a cutout in the middle, so that
light can go through, perhaps with a see through...

I am a beginning quilter. I am attempting to make my mother a double Irish
Chain using Eleanor Burns "quilt in a day" pattern. Well, I have the top
almost finished (minus the borders which I still am not sure what I am going
to do) Somewhere along the line my measurements got "off" and so I have...

Am I crazy to try this? Any advice or other ideas? I've never done
anything like this before. I am going to approach another quilter this week
with the idea.

advice regarding raw edge applique and durability by
hellofromsmd
Hi there-
Thought I'd tap the collective knowledge of our group for some advice
about a quilt I'd like to make. I'm looking at the pattern from the
cover of this book
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/1564775283.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg (Stich
and Split Applique) which I've recently purchased. I would be...

QuiltShopHopper
I have cut out a lovely butterfly that I want to put onto a finished block
for interest. How do I get fusible sticky wonder under-type stuff onto the
back of this little butterfly? Should I also use stabilizer on the back of
the block and then stitch the butterfly down?
I think that I heard...

QuiltShopHopper
I just got a Pfaff 2440, and I am sewing along straight stitch piecing, then
the fabric just stops moving along, and the needle sews on ine spot until it
pushes the fabric down in a hole and I can't free the fabric or the thread
mangle. I have adjusted the top tension and reinstalled the bobbin,...

Hi all!
Been too busy recently for all but run-by readings of the latest

bills now,...

Advice wanted for softest quilt by
L
I finished a Yellow Brick Road quilt top, and my DD really loves it.
I want the finished quilt to be soft and huggable for watching TV (she is
always cold!).
I was thinking of backing it with flannel -- but which? Is there a special
thicker kind I should try? What is all this stuff about single...

I remember someone here posted about sending out their tops to be MQ'd

I'm stippling all the blue areas to make them recede into the
background. I'm quilting around the animals to make them stand out. My
