New stash! by
Joan Erickson
Well, I now have 2 more projects in my stitching cabinet. One is the
Rainbow Bridge pattern I was looking for (on sale...yay!) and the other
is Independence Day by Laura Perin.

I'm going to do it on black, though. I think it will set off the colors
better.

home needed for a "Bill's Frame" frame by
kiera kristinsdottir
I have a frame that I think is a needlepoint frame. It's stamped
"Bill's Frames" and from the archives of this list I deduce that it's
from Bill Gordon's Woodcraft, a now-defunct business once in
Healdsburg, California.
I'm a rug hooker, and don't really need this frame. Is there someone
in the...

Needlework pyramid? by
Felice
Earlier today someone posted a link to a photo of a lovely needlework
pyramid, but I accidentally deleted it. If that talented stitcher would
repost the link, I would be most grateful.

OT : Completlely OT Wedding & best friends question by
Ellice K.
Okay gang - I'm pulsing this oh so unopinionated group - seriously, as I
believe many of you have better or more experience than me, etc, blah, blah.
Warning - this is long 'cause I feel compelled to give some background.
So, our best friends have 4 kids, who are essentially like ours. ...

sew girls by
Donna
Hmm. Following their own path to Twitter, I see them as being located
in my area, Washington D.C.
Is it possible this is someone I know??? I certainly hope not.
I did send them a note asking them to stop their copyright
violations.

Thread Heaven by
Jane
OK...I bought the stuff but I'm really worried. I've never used a thread
conditioner before and I'm working on the sampler I've metioned in previous
posts. It's done in Waterlilies and Splendor along with some #8 Perle
Cotton....are you all "sure" that it's OK to use this stuff...I don't want
to...

OT - taxes ... by
Julie
I am so bummed today. We found out that an expected IRS refund has dwindled
from $1013 down to $112.** ... and because we e-filed and had the return
e-deposited into our account, that $112 had $64 of fees taken out of it . Turns out
that that child tax credit check last summer was the problem. ...

Dirty Question by
Isee
Hi everyone, this is a call for your expert assistance.
I am in the process of completing my 1st counted cross stitch project (done
on cream Aida 14 count) and despite my best endeavours, it has become a bit
grubby through the constant handling necessary to work the picture.
Is it OK to wash my...

Bead storage by
Joan Robertson
I have a question for you all. I now use what I think is called a "Bead
Hive" It is plastic see thru drawers that go into holders which slide
together. They are rectangular shaped.
Anyway a couple times when I have vacuumed the dresser where I keep the
beads, I have sucked out a drawer with...

Y'all were so helpful the last time I posted that I can't resist going to the

Since last we typed, I've amassed quite a collection of books, pamphlets,
patterns, transfers, floss/thread and yarn/wool that are crying out to be used.
They'll have to wait awhile as I want to take the...

Stitching on a train? by
Maggie
Hi everybody! This is a little different than recent posts, so I
thought I would start a new subject.
In a month, I will be going on my honeymoon to Niagara Falls via
train. (I know, I will freeze my butt off :) ) The train trip is
about 7 hours each way, so you can bet I am bringing stitching. ...

Books about Stitches - longish list by
Dianne Lewandowski
Ooooh, there's a few on this list I would like to add . . . but only a
few. You're a counted stitcher, and your list exemplifies it. huge grin
I would second your nominations for Carolyn Ambuter's "The Open Canvas",
McNeils "Pulled Thread"; Montano's ribbon embroidery; Coats & Clark's
100...
