Glass for Leaded Lights? by
Maurice
Hi,
I am looking into doing some leaded lights/copper foil work,
but the price of the glass seems to vary quite a lot, some
of it appears to be rather expensive. So do any of you know
where the best prices are in the UK.
I live in the middle of East Anglia if that helps?
TIA

looking for a glassblower in or near Portland, OR who either knows how
to blow glass lampshades or would like to teach themselves how; a friend

need a professional to cut a beveled window panel. Carved/engraved/cut glass. by
Brian Gardner
There is a historic home where I live that has a broken sidelight. The
original panel is unusual. Rather than a leaded panel, an artist took a
rectangular glass panel, beveled the outside edges, and then cut a
curved.geometric pattern into the glass plate. I have seen a few similar
panels; my...

any advice about rubino oro moretti by
Janet R
I finally got my hands on a small stash of rubino. This glass
evidently needs to be handled differently.....ugh! On a few occasions
I have had success, but mostly I end up with mud or smudges in the
glass. I am making 3 petal flowers and one of the three petals will
look burnt.
Any advice or...

crumbling glass by
nimu
hi all
In one of the earlier threads, i had mentioned that some of my marble
glass had crumbled like cookies when fused.. But my later firings of
the same batch of glass were perfect. Its then I realised that glass
comes out all crumbly when the kiln wash is old. Now, I make it a point
to fuse...

a Glass Clear material??? by
rasmus andersson
I am looking for a Glass Clear material that can be used as a
grout/joint(?) for a mosaic. The mosaic is made of small glass tiles so
the material has to adhere to glass,(and wood).
I have tried with an acrylic paste but it does not adhere very well to
the glass, and during evaporation it looses to...

Glass Eye 2000 by
Glassman
After all these years I finally tried out the demo of the Glass Eye
designing program. Very impressive! The catolog of glass colors and textures
is amazing. Any of you actually use it in real world design work? If so
which version did you spring for? Seems like you can spend anywhere from $99
to...

Copper foil. What the heck do you do with it? by
Mike Beede
This is speaking of hot working. I've used silver leaf and
silver foil, picked up on a bubble. Some extremely cool
effects can occur. I picked up some copper leaf at the
same time. What the heck--it was cheap. However, I've
become convinced that it isn't really intended for hot
working, since...

A Question Regarding Nondenominational Religious Windows by
kfg
I may be getting a contract soon to do a panel for a hospital chapel. It should not be specific to any particular religion. My question is: What sort of subject should I use? Has anyone out there done any projects like this?
Thanks,
