OT Thanksgiving by
Beckibead
Did anyone happen to download a copy to their computer of the
thanksgiving card of of the turkey singing the Gloria Gaynor song "I
will survive?" It is no longer available on the American Greetings
website and I really wanted to show it to some people at work. If
anyone has it could you email it...

I have almost all my stuff!! by
Fragile \Joseph\ Warrior
The glass rods, the torch, the hoses, the regulator for the propane, the
implements of destruction (tweezers, dental tools, etc.) have arrived. The
propane is on its way for tomorrow. All I need now is the 02 machine and
I'm good to go. We've even found a welding supplier to get us...

a mild annoyance. by
[email protected]
Yesterday, my boss asked me to bring in some of my jewelry, because she
wanted to take a look at it. She's been admiring the pieces I've been
wearing in to work, and was interested in seeing my sale pieces.
She unfortunately had a meeting that prevented her from seeing my
stuff, but the other...

OT - I Hate Outlook. Help! by
Lori Greenberg
Ok, I've had it. I can't run a business with an email program that
continues to lock me out at least once a month, if not more and I have to
restore a backup and go through hundreds of duplicate emails and unnamed
file folders that need to be put back (manually!) into their right space. I
just...

This is Where...... by
Dawn >^..^
This is where I found you guys over two years ago, and this is where I found
the inspiration to follow my dream. I lurked here for almost a year before
ever posting. When I made my fist ugly little beads, this is where I posted
pictures of them and got the support and encouragement I needed to...

New Topic: What is YOUR favorite piece of jewelry? by
Vibrant Jewels
To try to stimulate some discussion, how about this topic? What is YOUR
favorite piece of jewelry and why? Is it something you made? Was it a gift?
Was it a special purchase?
Today for me it is a pair of earrings I made... they are not that unusual
really, but the beads are a greenish picasso...

AD - BeadDay Night Madness! by
Kalera Stratton
How many times can I squeeze a football reference into my weekly
announcements? When will I tire of this terrible joke? Hmmm... it is a
mystery!
Despite being completely freaking out at the prospect of teaching my
first class, I managed to get a lot of beads made last week... Breezy
says that I...

Bragging by

I feel a little weird sharing this because it's definitely bragging...but
I'm so excited, and I know that you folks will understand:
We have a new jeweler in town. He recently moved here and started a
part-time custom design business, having retired from a lifetime of
full-time jewelry design in...

Click on the necklaces link and be sure to check out each one. Her son
Ray is her web designer and he's still working on the site as you'll
see when you check out the links. (He's a published comic book artist).
Anyway, Christi is my favorite artist and I'm also proud...

my best bracelets so far :-) by
Sue Lund
I think your bracelets look super, Ang!
On the purple set - I think you have a great eye for balance and design - each
strand is different, yet they all go together very well. Pretty! I love the
big black beads on your red/black bracelet - I like the 'chunkiness' of the
bracelet as a whole and...

beady confusion by
Barbara Forbes-Lyons
Laura,
I'm going through a similar thing right now. I've had a moderate amount of
success with name bracelets and other jewelry, but I can't seem to get the
ideas in my head onto the design board. Very frustrating. So, I made a
decision this past week - I'm going to go through my huge bead stash...

Question about silver scraps by
laura
I have been on an earring making kick the past couple days. I ordered some
bulk sterling wire and I've been going nuts making earrings-- I actually
even sold a couple of pairs recently.
I've got a little plastic jar in front of my workplace where I've been
sticking all the little bits and pieces...

turquoise and color change by
Tante Lina
I just made a choker incorporating some natural turquoise beads. I like the
design, but I'm wondering if it was a bad idea. With every bead resting on
the neck, won't it be exposed to more perspiration, lotions, etc. which
could cause it to change color more quickly? Should I advise a buyer...
