Do you keep a bead inventory? by
Shirley Shone
Now with hind sight I wished I had.
I have just been rummaging behind my beading desk to see if I could find
the wire knitter that I have.
I pulled out a box and in are 31 vintage crystal necklaces with a total
of 48 strands. These were antique fair finds. I got to be known as the
lady who was...

Marketing Agents? by
chaddock
Today, I took a few necklaces to a Fine Jeweler in town. My intention
wasn't to sell, but wanted a professional opinion.
I was extremely tickled when they absolutely loved my stuff. They
went on and on about how well made it was, they loved the clasps, etc.
etc. Yes, I could sit here and boast...

How many of you ... by
Sterling
How many of you wear your own jewelry, and which types do you wear?
Me, I only wear bracelet and earrings. I think I look silly in necklaces so
I don't wear but a simple small chain with maybe a bead or small
embellishment on it. I guess for this reason I don't make many necklaces -
but I...

Bracelet in Bead and Button. by
Shirley Shone
I have made the bracelet on the cover of the B&B.
However can I as heck get it up on my website. Do not know what I am
doing wrong. Help will be at hand since my son David will be coming home
tomorrow so I will enlist his help.
The tutor I have for my computer classes has had a heart attack so...

? about finishing Polymer Clay pieces by
Karleen/Vibrant Jewels
To all you PC artists:
I received these questions today about my husband's beads/pendants:
"A question regarding the finishing of the polymer clay beads if you will:
just how are they finished?
Are they sanded with various grades of sandpaper?
By hand? On a wheel?
Are they sealed/finished with an...

My Ghost Captured in Photo??? Bead Related, in a way by
Tink
So someone who is bidding on one of my beads sent me an email mentioning the
'face' reflection in one of my photos. It's the photo where I'm holding the
bead in my hand:
http://snurl.com/2joj
Funny thing is that I wear glasses, which that face doesn't have. Plus I
look nothing like that. I take my...

landscape beads by
Beadbimbo
http://www.beadbimbo.com/ebay/landscapes.jpg
I was trying a couple of landscape beads, and then put a tree on one. Lol.
I think I put on a little too much tree for the bead, but other than it
going around the side, I like both these beads a lot.

Photography question by
Marisa Cappetta
I took some shots of beadwork on a white background, in full sun. The
colours in the jewelry are ok but the background comes out pale blue. Is
there anyway to correct this in the photographing process or is this best
done post production?

Nice, Kathy,
Did you make it from the sheet PMC, or from rolled out clay?

I'm Back! AND show and tell! by
Beadbimbo
Hey Y'all! I've been gone for the past two weeks. I spent one week at the
Holland School in Young Harris, Ga., taking Wire II. It was great. Then,
the next week, DD was at Performing Arts Camp, so hubby and I snuck off to
the beach (Tybee Island, Ga.) for a few days. It was our first trip...

back from the Gathering by
Beadseeker
Hi, all. I'm back from the ISGB Gathering. What a great time! I also bought a
bead by Nancy Tobey - my first boro bead. It has purple, magenta and blue
tones. Did ok at the Bead Bazaar, more sales than last year, but next year if
I got to Portland, I don't think I'll do the BB, you miss out on...

Presenting work to galleries and shops by
Christina Peterson
When bringing more than just one or two things in to a shop or gallery, what
should they be brought in. Boxes make good presentations, but are hard to
store. Plastic bags with the jewelry laid out it's full length?

OT Update on T-shirt logo by
Shirley Shone
I have asked Vicki to take down the pictures of the logo. One reason is
to safe guard my design from outsiders of this group.
The other is I have decided that I will not go into the palaver of
setting things up to have what could be only a dozen or so sales.
I will use my shirts as bargaining...

Karen bead and question by
Kandice Seeber
I think it's beautiful! Of course, a younger person might like a simpler
design - the teens and twenty-somethings tend to like the simpler stuff
these days, as far as I can see. I'd wear it though!

Sperm bead by
KDK
Ok so in my class I made an "accidental sperm bead". I was using white to
either make dots or was playing with stringer (don't remember) and it went
awry. The result- a sperm bead. I giggled about it to myself - not sure
the others in the class would have truly appreciated it :)
I put it at the...
