Kay mending her DGS quilt by
The Laws
Well, this has turned out to be a major project.! I think I have mended
close to 2 dozen holes. A lot of them turned out to be in the red bandana
material, a very busy print that mending completely disappears even if I
don't match the fabric perfectly The places on the denim turned out to...

Sharon Harper
Many, many thanks to the wonderful squisher/thunker who sent the Press 'n'
Seal and fabric. Sneaky lil devil signed the customs dec so that I couldn't
make it out!! So public thanks are yours - you've improved my day and put a
smile on my dial (and improved the stash for the blue and green quilt...

merrystitch
I hate to bother anyone, but some time back I remember someone posting a
website that had hundreds of free patterns on it, but it seems I neglected
to bookmark it. Would someone please be so kind as to post it again. I'm
looking for the jigsaw pattern. Just looking at it, I think I...

On topic, new ferret by
Piper
We got our first ferret last weekend. She's a cutie pie, and
named Cherry. Her family was moving and unable to take her with
them, but I know she was very well loved. How? She came with
her own quilt made out of fabric with cherries on it, and her
name is embroidered on it.
So if you have a...

Is Webshots really screwed up or is it just me? by
Eli
Subject line says it all... I've been battling this website all day. They
were down for upgrading yesterday. Today I'm having all kinds of problems
with uploading the pics. I finally got them uploaded... I can see them
through "My Account" but not through "Community". Weird...

OT - Dryer Lint by
Cindy Schmidt
I have been following this topic very closely and decided to write to the
Audubon Society myself and see what they had to say.
Another reason that made me do this, is because I received an email from my
dry cleaner and in the text of her email, she gives monthly hints and tips.
Well this month...

Quilt for ME--Done!!! by
JG
My king-sized pieced-on-both-sides quilt for me (and DH, of course) is done!
I constructed it in quarters, then halves because it was so large. DH has
said at least a dozen times that I did a great job and he *really* likes
it--could that be because he picked the pattern (Chinese Puzzle)? I...

I need some help again by
The Laws
This group is so unbelievably helpful and full of answers and ideas. This
time it is about mending. I made a quilt for my grandson in 1999, and it is
back to me for mending, he has obviously used it heavily as a 10 year old
does. The quilt is 8 inches squares of denim , blue, faded, new, used...

Using Up Scraps--Hah! by
Joan
So, I had this really big pile of scraps, and the pile was divided into
more piles, and those piles had children, and those piles of scraps had
grandchildren, so I had to do something or my house would explode. Why not
use some of the scraps in a quilt, I thought. Maybe with some paper
piecing....

really really basic questions by
Morag Peers
Hi all,
I am currently working to complete my first ever quilt. It's a very simple
chequerboard design with alternating plain white/cream squares and patterned
ones in shades of yellow, orange and brown.
I should be finished the top in a week or so (using the paper template and
hand sewing...
