Knit stretching by
Loreen Robbins
I just finished serging a rib knit pullover. It's a poly/cotton blend and I
used a 4 thread overlock. When I pressed the neck seam of the mock
turtleneck, the rib has stretched way out of shape including both the body
and the collar.
Any suggestions? Should I be using a stretch safety stitch...

.jpg converted to embroidery? by
Terry
How does one take either a photo or a simple drawing in jpg format and
convert it to a format readable by electronic embroidery sewing machines -
Janome, Brother, etc. Has anyone written a simple computer program that will
make the conversion?

Rubber Cement on Fabric? by
RLK
I crafted a new shade for my lamp. Not having any fabric "glue", I used
rubber cement. It is a small shade and appears to have bonded the
lightweight cotton fabric (fused with interface) quite well to the template.
But will this eventually fall off? If I were to get fabric glue, what brand
do I...

dnmgiordano
I am making a dress for my daughter who is a size 3 from a pattern in which
the smallest size is 7. I traced the pattern and played with it until it
looked right, then made a muslin. I did pretty good on the bodice and am
now going to start on the skirt then continue with a long sleeve jacket.

I made one for the first time tonight, but the blanket doesn't lay
flat, and it is actually concave! Seems like I pulled the
knots/fringes too tight, but how tight am I suppose to make the knots?
Help!

Problem with memory card by
Doh Lar
Hi,
I downloaded the free designs off the Janome website and put them
on a blank memory card.
The designs are on the memory card and I put the card in the sewing
machine and it acknowledges that the card is in but it does not
show the designs.
I tried this on a Janome Embroidery Machine 300E.
