elasitc (spandex) in socks too tight by
mike
Many of the men's socks I buy have such tight elastic that it causes
serious damage to my legs. I presume these are no longer made with
old fashioned elastic but with spandex as all the new things are. Does
anyone know a way to permanently stretch the ribbed part with the
spandex so that it will...

help - terminology and factors by
duh who
Ok, just got my Wild Ginger software in. Its asking for a couple of setting
I'm not sure of.
One is facing width. I'm doing a coat. What's an adequate setting? 1.5
inches? 2 inches.
The other is hem allowance. What would that be, about 1 inch? 1.5 inches?

Just when I thought my boys had "outgrown" mom making them

to have me create them something after all.
There was minimal sewing involved. These optical illusion costumes
were lot's of fun and a big hit!

I ordered some nice poly/cotton poplin from somewhere online several

stuff. Unfortunately it is in royal blue, and now I really would love
to find some again to make scooter skirts with in more autumn/winter
colors. Anybody...
