two questions by S
I'm working on a couple of different things right now, and on both I have questions. One thing I'm making is tank tops from cotton rib knit. I've been playing around with one out of fabric I don't like before I start on the good stuff. I don't have any problems with basic construction--the...

Duvet cover for blanket without ties by Myrna
HI, Everyone, I recently purchased a duvet cover for a blanket I've had forever. It does not have corner ties. So I'm wondering what you'd suggest I do to be able to use the ties in the duvet cover. Should I sew buttons onto the blanket? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks, Myrna

Getting old machine out of the shed by SteveB[_3_]
I bought a used 1957 Singer 111 w 155 about a year ago to do some canvas awning work. It's time to get it out and see if and how it works. I downloaded the manual, crude as it did come across. Anyone know where I can get a really clear one? What would be a good combination of thread, needle,...

Fake "space bag" alert by [email protected]
I bought a couple of these "knock-offs", thinking I could pack some lightweight sewing supplies into them, suck all the air out, and stack them on shelves, thereby doubling my storage space. I managed to stuff about six large size quilt batts into each bag. Vacuumed all the air out, and the bags...
