Baltimore Album Applique Quilts by
Pat EAXStitch
Just come home from our craft club, where we had a demonstration of
Baltimore Album Applique quilts - absolutely breathtaking!
I took my daughter Jane, who completely fell in love with them too.
Apparently an asset in making these, particularly if you`re doing a
"snowflake" block is Freezer paper...

Embroidery with cotton thread by
Pat in Arkansas[_2_]
The lady is right! Embroidery machines tend to sew hard and fast, and
the cotton does not hold up. I use polyester (40 wt.) and have not
had any shredding problems ever...........Cotton is beautiful for
quilts.........not so hot for embroidery.
Poly embroidery thread is what you want....Tons of...

A crazy thought for Crazy quilts by
Pat in Arkansas[_2_]
I have a Babylock Embellisher.............it is a great machine, by

I wonder why I can't take a base of fabric----maybe a sheet?-------and
sew on large freeform shapes in a nice design and just needle them
down to the base or sheet............I could...

Re-Batting a comforter by
Pat in Arkansas[_2_]
I have a comforter, and all the stuffing is migrating, especially to
the corners. I really like the design and colors, so I am going to re-
batt it.........at least that is my plan.
It is quite puffy, but I can live without that. What do you think
about using Quilter's Dream Puff?? It is fairly...

Summer "quilt" advice needed by
Pat in Arkansas[_2_]
I want to do about 3 layers of cotton for a summer quilt. I already
have a duvet cover, which I have been using empty...........but it is
just beige, and boring.
Should I just raw edge applique some stuff on it?
Better to start from scratch with a sheet?
Needs to be quick and dirty.......and...

Hello!
Thank you for the response about un stitching, and for the reading
suggestions back in May, and for answering little questions, and big
questions. I do appreciate all the times RCTQ members post or email helpful
(or just silly) answers to my questions and requests. I don't take the time...

Video of P-nut in Cincinnati by
Pat in Virginia
Joan:
Wow ... what fun music that is! I'd never heard the 311 music before. (I
mainly just hear a bit of news on the radio on the way to work or such.)
Anyhow, I like it. I read the band 311 is coming to my area this week. I
wonder if it is too late to get a ticket. I wonder about the price too....

Question for the vegans by
Pat in Virginia
One thing about soy ... it does interact a with certain medicines. So, if
you take any prescriptions, be sure to check with your Pharmacist before
adding soy to your diet. Also, if you do use it, it may be helpful to
mention that to guests who might have issues.
