Glass grinders. by
Bill Browne

I'm curious as to how badly the edge is chipped after its been ground. I
know the stained glass crowd puts came or foil around the edge, so it isn't

Glass etching...what to charge? by
Bill Browne
With my computer business in a slump, I've been looking for ways to
supplement my income. Some folks have noticed my glass etching hobby, and
may want their company logo deep cut. I was wondering how and what others
charge for their work. By the square inch? Complexity of the pattern? I'm
not...

What is 'slumping'? by
Bill Browne
I hear it talked about, but never defined.
I get the gut feeling it's laying a piece of glass over a mould, then
heating in a kiln till the glass take the form of the mould. Close? Am I
even spelling mould right? :-)

Brass patina wanted by
Bill Cademy
I am doing some work with brass came, and would like to be able to apply
a patina to my solder joints. I have looked around town, but both sg
supply stores here don't carry any such patina. I was informed that
there used to be such a patina available but it hasn't been seen in some
time.
Does...

Pattern Making by
BirdyNumnums
Hi All. I've been browsing for a while, being fairly new at stained glass
i've not felt i've had anything to post.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask my question, but it's the
only newsgroup I can find that has anything to do with stained glass!
I've been trying to find information...

Encouraging Devitrification by
[email protected]
Hi,
I am doing some fusing work that is devitrifying unevenly (some bits
scratchy, some glossy)...
I have tried the 'homemade' borax devit solution, but it doesn't seem
to work with this glass... My current idea is to promote full-on devit

Glue for Jewelry - At my wit's end... by
[email protected]
Hey,
I have been attempting to glue silver bails to fused glass and I have
had nothing but problems...
Tried superglue... got brittle and they basically fell off.
Tried Goop... got rubbery and they basically slid off.
Tried 2 part epoxy... seemed good, but even the slightest 'torque'
pressure...
