Jeanne - Gillian and Lucille by
Lucille
My power and water just came on a little while ago. I'm ok and just waiting
now for the telephone to work so I can start to get things done.
Great to hear that Gillian and Deb are ok too.

Mike Vickerys Central America Map Question by
Beverly B
I am getting ready to stitch this for my nephew and his wife who are doing
two years of missionary work in Honduras. The mission he is working with
focuses on children. In the chart there is a figure of an old person (can't
really tell if it is male or female). I would like to leave that out...

the answer - is there a conversion chart from Thread Gatherer threads

Thanks!

What to do with finished projects by
Gossamer Axe
I was just wondering, what everyone does with finished xstitch projects,
other than the usual: picture, ornament, pillow etc., I haven't been
doing this for too long, and I figure in 30 years, I won't have much
wall space left, so I was hoping for a few ideas about what to do with
various finished...

a stitching dilemma by
[email protected]
My cousin and his wife are expecting their first baby in November.
My mother asked me today if I was going to stitch something for the
baby (this cousin is her godson). I told her I was going to crochet a
baby afghan, like I did for my cousin's older sister's twin sons 8
years ago. My mother...

The Storms by
clancy
Good for you Gillian - I can't imagine how you maintain your sense of humour
thru all this - I could only hope that I would. We had a power outage 2
years ago - bad snow storm - I was worried about my Mother who is always
frozen stiff anyway cuz of medications - the house cools down very quickly...

step-by-step stitch instructions - a poll by
Yvette
Hi everyone,
I am doing a little survey. You could influence the way I present
information in my next embroidery book!
I am trying to decide how to do my step-by-step stitching
instructions. For any of you who have seen either of my previous
books, (Elegant Hardanger Embroidery, Mountmellick...

Blackwork for Dummies by
anne
At yesterday's EGA SIG meeting, someone was working on a blackwork design for
her Master Counted Thread Stitching certification which was absolutely
gorgeous!!! The technique intrigues me because it's so 'clean' as opposed to my
usual freestyle whatever works projects.
If y'all could point me to...

Tambour Thread by
Dansla
Does anyone know of a source for this thread in the US? I've tried the usual
online and close-by sources but no luck. I've seen it advertised by a UK group
and an Australian group but I'm hoping there's a closer source for me.
I'm looking for gold tambour thread. Thanks!

header correctio Jeanne - Gillian and Lucille - are ok by
Pat EAXStitch
So glad to hear that. has she (Jeanne) gone by now? I gather that hurricane
Karl gave Scotland a sideswipe today, in it`s dying throes. I expect the
wind, such as is left will get to us tomorrow.

Bags & patterns by
Phyllis Maurer
There are so many fun bags in the shops right now. I love the Vera Bradley
ones, but they're too pricey for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for
turning a surface stitchery project into a bag - are there any patterns or
directions out there? Any suggestions as to what handles / fasteners...

OT Jeanne update by
Gillian Murray
Well, Jeanne changed courses again. the eye is supposed to come through just

The worst is yet to come. Apparently she cane ashore at almost the same
place as Frances, as a category 3. I haven't been up too long yet, bit...

ISO Masculine Gardener by
Suzanne
I'd like to do a sampler for my DFIL, who's the gardener in the family,
but most of the garden designs I've seen are very feminine. He mostly
does vegetable gardens, with a few flowers around the house, so flower
and herb motifs wouldn't really suit him. I looked briefly in Hoffman
with...

ISO Curtis Boehringer pattern by

A few years ago I purchased a few of these leaflets by Curtis
Boehringer. I don't know the name of the series but I know there were
12 total and each one represented a month. The front had the month
spelled out, the back a symbol appropriate to that month, and the
inside a sampler in the shape of...

Hi Guys,
OK -- so I know I can go to RCTY with this question but I *know* all of you

those things *are* needlework :-)! I am looking for a source of angora yarn in
some shade of turquoise or aqua and white. I Googled...
