OT - PDA's by
KCK
I think you'd be well served by the Palm Zire that sells for US$99. No
muss, no fuss, it gets the job done without tons of unused "features"
and the Palm OS is so easy to use that most of us can get up to speed
without consulting the manual.

OT Need diabetic & heart healthy foods help by
Debra
I have no idea how to make some favorite foods so they can be eaten by
someone who has been diagnosed diabetic and has heart troubles. Any
places online with recipes would be a big help.
Truth is, I don't even feel like I know how to grocery shop anymore,
much less know how to cook.

Your Prefs by
Diana Curtis
When you look though quilt magazines, online quilt sites, and through our
own member's photo albums, what attracts you to a particular quilt? Is it
mostly the type of quilt, be it traditional, modern/art, or new technique?
Do you find yourself drawn to a particular color/fabric combination? ...

My no longer missing son by
Marlys in Indiana
It would appear that the body found is that of my son, but they will not
consider it 100% until they check dental records. So absolute identity will
still take a little longer. Talked to the deputy coroner yesterday about
it.
But he was wearing the clothes he had been wearing, his wallet...

Just how much fabric do you have???? by
JPgirl
I spent a couple of hours last night refolding and sorting my stash,
between my 15 month old daughter ripping it off the shelves at will and
me rifling through it whenever I get a new project in mind it was a
mess.
Well Since it was so nice and neat I decided to count up just how much
I had in...

Everybody Out! by
Polly Esther
Take a flashlight and screwdriver with you. I want you to go around to the
vent thing from your clothes dryer, open it, peer inside and check for
troubles. If they're generally unimportant, at least scrape the fuzzies
from the flap so it will close properly and not permit any critters easy...

Well, I'm back. This is a replay of Frank's wonderful odyssey in
search of the perfect Christmas gift for the quilting wiff who has
everything. Yes, EVERYTHING (well, almost)! She's still trying to
convince me that she needs a full-up long arm machine. Well, that
ain't gonna happen until she...

Poll -- What's on YOUR list? by
the black rose
I've been mulling over all the quilts I want to make some day and was
wondering what (probably time-consuming) classic quilts everybody else
has on their "I want to do that some day" list.
My list:
tumbling blocks quilt
thousand pyramids quilt
millenium quilt/charm quilt
Bethlehem Star quilt

Poll - quilting rooms by
frood
I'm enrolled in a Quilt University class called Studio Makeover. It has made
me start thinking about how people set up their quilting space. I'm
wondering how many people have a room dedicated to their use. Do you have a
room for quilting? Do you quilt/teach/write/etc for money? or just...

VERY OT International traveling??? by

It seems I am going to have the opportunity to do some traveling- I've never
been outside the USA except for a short way across the border into Mexico.
And I've only flown about 5 times and never even had to catch a connecting
flight. I've never ridden in a taxi or public transportation. I...

Storing Fabric by
Pat in Virginia
HGTV has some good information on
Organizing Stuff. Here is the advice for
storing clothing. I think it is worth
considering for stash *and* UFOs too.
Bonus tip: When cleaning before storage, avoid using bleach, fabric softener, sizing or starch.

OTOTOTOT - Folgers Coffee by
teleflora
Arghhhhhhh. I just got back from my local grocers and there was not a "can"
of Folger's Coffee on the shelves. Only Maxwell House.
I found a store guy and he said the Folgers coffee plant is down south,
Mississippi or La, he wasn't clear. But he said it would probably be a month
before they were...
