Frank & Renee
Hi,
I've decided to go with a Husqvarna machine...I've got it down to two: a
used Designer II (now called the Quilt Designer II) that doesn't comes with
three stitch cards...N1, O1, and A1, but no E1 which has the quilting
stitches. The machine is supposed to be less than 6 months old since...

rough week with a happy on topic ending, LONG by
Lisa Caryl
This was kind of a rough week around our house. I had surgery on Tuesday for
problems I've been having for almost a year now. My OB/GYN doctor removed
two polyps that my regular doctor had dismissed as "nothing". (All he did
was send me home with pain pills and told me "they never do anything...

OT Need puppy help by
Pauline O'Connell
Since we have so many areas of expertise here, thought I'd check with you
guys for some help with our new puppy. Also - can anyone recommend a good
newsgroup for dog/puppy questions. I looked at a couple, but there seem to
be some very angry people participating, so I didn't even try to ask...

no way she could get out of it, and believe me, she tried! LOL The surgery
is August 2, at 1 pm. She will be in for about 4-5 days, depending on how...

Free Motion - knotting on back by
Jim McCauley
I'm a fairly new machine quilter - I've made one queen size quilt and a baby
quilt. In class, I'm able to free motion quilt easily, using a Bernini or
Elna. At home, I have a Pfaff 2046. I just can't seem to get it to free
motion quilt without knotting on the under (bobbin) side.
I have tried...

I'm Feeling Crestfallen - Not OT by
[email protected]
One of my guilds is having their yearly challenge. It is a squares
challenge. The whole quilt had to be made up of squares. You could do
anything you wanted in the borders (for a total of 3 or none at all),
but the middle had to be all squares.
One of the rules was that the "entire square has to...

basting the quilt by

I spent about two hours rolling around on the living room floor last
night trying to baste this full-sized quilt top and got about
one-quarter done. My elbows and knees are a little sore right now and
I'm wondering how everyone else gets this basting task done. (Most of
quilting is something I've...
