Apology, and an update by
Carolyn McCarty
First of all, I'm sorry to be so out of touch with the group lately.
Between monsoon thunderstorms and the fact that I've just plain been busy, I
have had to mark all messages as read a couple of times. Please know that I
think of you all often, and am sorry to have missed the happy dances and...

UK Festival of Quilts-anyone going? by
joanb
The 2007 Festival of Quilts is on at the National Exhibition Centre
near Birmingham(UK) from 16th to 19th August. If anyone else is
going we could meet for coffee or lunch, on whichever day would suit.
I only live 9 miles away and my free travel pass gets me to the NEC
for nothing so I could go...

bernina accessories by
Judy[_2_]
Is there any place where you can buy Bernina accessories on-line? The only
Dealer around me is about an hour away. I have been there 3 times and they
never have what I need. Not only that, they are the most unfriendly bunch of
people that I don't want to deal with them again.
Would appreciate...

charm packs by
Jacob M
Can any of you recommend a reputable place to purchase 3" or 5" charm
packs?
I'm making a charm quilt and would appreciate a good source.
Thanks

OT - new photos by
Johanna Gibson
My photos were sadly out of date, so I've uploaded many, at:
http://community.webshots.com/user/Jo_in_Scotland including 2 quilts
and some other patchwork items. Plus the growing-like-weeds triplets,
and the 2 new cats. Enjoy!

Ping:Jessamy by
Carole-Retired and Loving It
Has anyone heard from Jessamy lately? I'm waiting (not too patiently
:) at this point 'cause I want to try the applique technique I just
read about in Ami Simms' "Invisible Applique") for the August BOM. I
e-mailed her a few days ago but haven't gotten an answer.
Meanwhile, I DID finish her July...

Big Quilt Done ;-) by
dogmom
It's on the bed and looks great if I do say so myself! Unfortunately I can't
post pix--but I know you all have great imaginations! It's a scrappy string
quilt, strings sewn to 10" muslin squares, half light/half dark on the
diagonal, laid out so they form an 8-point star in the center and then...

If that Crazy Quiilting post shows up here by
teleflora
Do NOT open it! It is a tiny url link and while I didn't open the one in
another news group, a lot of ladies did.
I guess it was pretty yucky.
I read the message and the poster is pretty slick.
So beware of tiny url posts unless you know it came from a regular.

Quilting stores in Montreal? by
Jane MacDonald
My husband and I are heading to Montreal on Friday and I hope to do some
fabric shopping. I have been through some of the stores on Saint-Hubert, but
it was on a Sunday, and they weren't all open. Does anyone know of any LQS
stores along that strip? I also plan to visit Fabricville on Ste....

quilting frames by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
Are the type of frame you slot your home machine into any good? Medium
arms + frames are a long way out of my price range at the moment -
though hopefully not forever, but the price of one of these frames at
least is something to aim for, but are they worth it, being a 10th the
price of...

1/3 cup sugar
1 Tbs.. cinnamon

trip is over :-( by
Cindy Schmidt
Just wanted to thank everyone who sent tips and advice on how to conquer my
motion sickness while in the air.
Ended up taking Bonine and using the Sea bands. Worked like a charm and now
I know that I can fly anywhere if I need to.
Trip was absolutely wonderful. Did see one fabric store on...

OT - weather by
Judy
Hope all of you are safe and secure and protected from both the doggone
heat waves and horrific storms that keep running through the country.
Enough! Praying better (and calmer) weather will soon be on their way. Ya
can't quilt when it's too hot or lose power in a storm.

Looking for Needlebook Pattern by
Patti S
Dare I say...... I'm beginning Christmas projects. A while ago, I ran
across a pattern for a really pretty needlebook, thought I saved it, and
alas, I did not. I remember it was tied closed with ribbon, and it
opened up like a book. The left side had a "pocket" in it, so you could
enclose an entire...

A tiny bit OT by
Butterflywings
After mumbleity mumble years, I'm finishing DD's RaggedyAnn/Andy dolls (only
have the rest of the hair to go)
Thus my questions: when you 'do' the hair, how close do you put it together
(they only say 3 rows--but that looks sparse to me),
AND do you cut the yarn or leave it in loops?
Don't say...
