Happy dancing by
Julia in MN
I finally got around to quilting a top that I made a year or so ago -- a
black and red Irish chain throw.
I also recently completed a quilt that has been in my head for a long
time -- a Storm at Sea throw. I wish it were big enough to use on my
bed, but I really couldn't see myself making three...

Return OT by
maryd[_3_]
Returned from Phoenix last night. Sorry I had to cancel out on dinner with
Pati and Butterfly. I was so tired and had a horrendous headache. DH and I
were both asleep by 9 p.m. and started the long drive home early the next
morning. I didn't get to visit any quilt shops tho I saw a couple I...

OT New furry addition by
Elly
Hi folks,
Just thought I'd let you know the story of our new addition.
Last week DH and DS went over to Wick (45mile round trip) to go to
Pets at Home so DS could get some bits and bobs for his two tanks in
which he keeps a rainbow crab and in the other 3 hermit crabs. DD
wanted to go along. Big...

Happy Dancing! by
Kate G.[_2_]
I've been busy this past week... making pillowcases for our local domestic
abuse shelter. We make them both pillowcases, drawstring bags and collect
items (like paper goods, foods, clothing, etc) at our monthly meeting.
On Monday, our guild Sit-N-Stitch will be meeting to make more. I've got...

Quilt Sampler Mag from BH&G by
Sharon
I love this magazine and can't wait for the next issue each time.
It's like going on a trip and visiting so many wonderful gorgeous,
down right breath-taking, shops. I read it cover to cover - so much
interesting stuff. Now I wonder when we'll be paying the American
price ($6.99) instead of the...

Quilting Tool by
Robyn
Hi my name is Robyn and I am after a quilting tool called "Arc-Ease Tool". I
saw it being used on Simply Quilts to make a Wedding Ring Quilt. I can't buy
one here in Australia. I have tried quite a few stores, so I was wondering
if anyone knew of a web site or quilting shop I could buy one...

De-wrinkling batting by
Lizzy Taylor
For a particular project I have just bought a pre-packaged Hobbs (yes,
Ragmop, I *know* it is made in Texas) Polydown batt. My problem is that
the ends in particular are all creased up from being squished into its
plastic bag. What is the best way to get it to lie flat again? If it
were cotton...

Singer steamer presser machine -- about 2 feet long by
gwen
Does anyone know about this machine? I saw it at my DIL's, and she
said she used it when the kids were little, to press their pants.
Said I'm welcome to it. Is it good for tabletop use, to press those
1/4 inch seams when making blocks?

Some quilt pictures I found by
Sally Swindells
I put my breaking thread query on the Janome Yahoo group and got an
e-mail reply from Sarah Ann Smith, so I went to look at her gallery. Wow!!
I particularly fell for her Koi quilt. Now I know how to do double sided!

Warm & Safe Batting by
Mickie Swall[_2_]
Though I wasn't sure about this batting, I have found
that it behaved it self very well during machine quilting.
It is very much like the Warm & Natural 100% cotton,
though Warm & Safe is said to be made from plantation
trees. It had the same clingy properties that I count on
when I use other...

Haven't written in a while so thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Yesterday (Monday) I woke up to absolutely NO hot water in the house.
Ken called to let me know that we had no hot water after I had already
discovered it...lol. Poor guy had to take a cool/tepid shower before
he left for work. After...
