ebay "buyer" scam? by
Sjpolyclay
I got a very odd question from a potential buyer of a necklace on ebay. I'm
thinking its a scam, and wondering if anybody else has gotten requests like
this? I wrote back and politely declined. I didnt turn them in to Ebay as its
NOT a request to buy an auction item outside of ebay---just a rather...

AD - New beads up well before bedtime! by
Kalera Stratton
Augh... it's too hot to say much about them! Hot, and allergenic. I have
been sneezing for a week straight, I swear!
Somehow, though, I made a LOT of beads. I have no idea how that
happened, but I guess I got a lot of work in between the sneezing. I was
obviously drawn toward cool colors and...

Q about O2 tanks by
Fragile Warrior Bees
What do most of the lampworkers in here do about their 02 supply? Do you
get tanks from a welding supply company? Do you have to pick it up
yourself? What size tank do you use? Is there anyone else out there in the
middle of nowhere (like me) who had trouble coming up with a source? What
did...

Propane regulator question by
Fragile Warrior Bees
I'm working with our local propane (and propane accessories :) guy to get a
100# propane tank for the studio. He has some regulators on hand and has
asked specifically what sort of PSI lampworking uses for the propane end of
the mix. Can someone help me with that? In the books or sites I've...

OT/AD & Stuff: Babylon Auction and hello... again! by
JC Herrell
First, a new auction, Babylon, wonderfully etched denim colored tubes
with vivid scalloped "bead caps". These big bad beads are exotic,
sensuous and luxurious. All my auctions:

Oh, be gone already!
Your aliases are getting less and less believable, and the fact that
you dove straight into the Troll thread, out of dozens of possible

to an unbelieveable one at that)...

Rant....I'm loosing my mind (or the little I still had left that is...) by
Gwacie
I'm presently redoing my studio - not a rebuild, just a major re-org which
involves moving EVERYTHING, some painting and a few builds. So I know this
is going to be great and all - it will solve a few work flow problems I had
because, say for example all my fusing stuff was scattered in...

AD - New Lampwork Sets on Ebay by
Glitzy Glass
Hi all - well I got busy at the torch and went a bit crazy and did a
boro seahorse - I loved him so much that I did another one tonight -
which is now in the kiln. It's been so cold her in NY lately I must be
in warm climate mode to survive. All I keep thinking of are flowers
and sea creatures! ...

Today's bead-related rants (lol) by
Barbara Forbes-Lyons
Crafters Coast to Coast on HGTV: They've done a number of segments with
lampworking. I've SEEN kilns in the studios of most of the artists profiled.
Not a single freakin' one of them has used or even indicated that a kiln
needs to be used for lampwork. ARGH

OT Diet by
Glitzy Glass
Good Morning everyone - I just had to share my good news - after
fighting the scale for most of my 48 years I think I may have finally
broken the cycle!!
I started a modified Atkins diet. No soda (surprise I don't miss it
any more). I still have my coffee only with Splenda, no bread, rice,
pasta...
