Washing a chenille throw by
KJ
I have my chenille throw all bound and slashed and ready to wash. What a
bear to trim somewhat straight! All that stitching on the bias sure makes
it wonky. I was afraid I'd end up with a bath mat by the time I squared it,
but I played around and got it to a suitable size. Do any of you have...

Traveling with Sewing Machine Tip! by
Pat in Virginia
If you take your SM anyplace, it is a very good idea to check the
contents of the case before you leave home. It is very
disappointing to arrive at destination with a SM but no foot
pedal or power cord. Don't ask! Bobbin case, bobbins, needles are
good to have too.

30's quilt done--and picture by
joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska
Webshots isn't working for me today, so I've resorted to AOL and
tinyurl. I hope it works.
**********
My California daughter-in-law is a fan of 30's fabric and all things
old. When I saw this fat quarter packet and block pattern in
Connecting Threads catalog, I knew it was meant for...

Finished crib quilt by
Carole Doyle
I'm a not-too-frequent poster, but I wanted to show off my
just-finished crib quilt. I modified Debbie Mumm's "Crazy for Cats"
quilt to get the appropriate size. I used scraps from lots of the cat
fabrics that have leaped into my arms over the years. The mother of
the baby-to-be loves cats, as...

OT Need feline advice by
Judie in Penfield NY
Hi Everyone,
We have an older cat that has been suffering some with arthritis, the vet
has him taking a low dose aspirin every 3 days. That seems to help a
little but Tigger is having more and more difficulty doing all the things
he needs to do to be a cat. He needs to climb up on the bed using...

New here, need some help! by
Sara L.
Hi, I'm new here and attempting to paper-piece my first quilt, tumbling
blocks from quilter's cache.com. I'm doing pretty well so far and have
gotten a lot of it together. The "blocks" are such that they form large
equilateral triangles which you then stitch together to make the quilt as
large as...

Back from Houston and OT bad news by
Sandy Foster
I had a *wonderful* time -- again -- in Houston. The quilts were
amazing, as always, and the vendors were very tempting. I bought a
chatelaine for my thimble and thimble cage from TJ Lane (she made my
thimble), and I'll be adding to it in the next few years -- I think I'd
like to have a seam ripper...

Dear RCTQ Friends:
My wonderful DS, Billy, whom you have all seen me talk about here

evening, he is working on Crazy Patches and came to ask me if I would
ask my friends on my quilt group if they would "swap" with him. He
would...
