Begin in the middle by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Someone over on the Bernina group suggested that it was easier on a big
quilt to just put batting on the center of the quilt, quilt that and then
add the sides. Less to mooch up and struggle with - you know? I toyed with
that idea and wasn't willing to try it but I did quilt right down the...

Full circle by
Michelle C.
Had a quilting realization yesterday--I've come full circle. When I
first started quilting, I did everything by hand because I didn't know
much about using a sewing machine, and mine was temperamental to boot.
When I finally got a good sewing machine, I vowed to become comfortable
with it, and...

Do I buy it??? by
jeanga6
At the second hand store I found a Singer French addtion treadle
machine. They want 50 euro for it, but I can talk him down to 35 or 40
($75 talk down to $50ish) except for the band which needs tightening
it is in perfact condition. I am busy talking my self out of it. DH
says Why do you need that...

Has anyone tried dyeing knitting yarn using Kool-Aid? I don't remember ever
seeing Kool-Aid in the supermarket here, but would be interested in trying
this if it really works.

Question about Minkee by
I'm making a quilt for my DH and he likes the feel of minkee for the
backing. I only have 2 yards of it (bought at a quilt show) and will have
to buy more, however I don't know much about it. How would it be for
backing and should it be washed first. Thanks for any help.

The walking foot has feed dogs to move the top of the fabric while the feed
doge under the fabric are moving the botton of the fabric. The guide is used

across the quilt--the quilt guide is placed on one of the lines you've...

Penny rug felt applique hanger by
CHARLES MURPHY
Anyone have any ideas for hanging a felt applique( small piece)? Not
interested in framing it.....thought maybe a long narrow strip glued(rather
than sewed to the back, creating a rod pocket for a dowel)
Any of you smart ladies wrestled with this yet?
