who knows Natalee's family? by
Queen of Squishies
Someone on here emailed me last week about making a Hug quilt for Natalee's
family. It was someone who knows Dave personally. I think it's a great
idea, and would be glad to help plan and forward such plan to the quilters.
I've never heard back from you on it, and...... I forgot who you are. ...

SNIGDIBBLY
Completed another UFO! Amazing Grace Angels top is completed and ready to
go to the machine quilters - I'm in no hurry because I did a foolish thing
(I think) and bought one of those Grace frames and a Long Arm Juki and plan
to start machine quilting my own stuff. OMG!! What have I done now?? ...

OT - message from NanaV by
Queen of Squishies
I had to see my cardiologist and, according to her and numerous tests, it
appears that the heart has been badly affected by both a fourth coronary and
the chemo. I'm having a series of tests to see if they can do anything
starting July 13th. As of now, I'm too tired and feel too sick to do...

Minkee blanket for daughter -- questions? by
WhansaMi
My daughter adores Minkee. Every time we go to the fabric store, she's over
there caressing it. So, today I bought enough for a twin-sized blanket.
She wants it on both sides.
How would you do this? I thought about just stitching it together and then
birthing it, but then what about the...

I made a quilt for hubby's aunt that was diagnosed with breast cancer
and under going chemo. I know I've read a few poems here for hugs so
anyone have a copy. I'm going to sign the quilt but I would like to
include a hug poem to explain what a hug quilt is.
Thanx.

Getting Rid of the Blues -- I need stashbusting tips BIG TIME!!! by
the black rose
I have 31.8 yds of various blue fabrics, mostly strong prints that don't
play well with others. Some tend toward teal and others are cooler
shades, nearly all are at least 2 yd cuts, most are about 3 yds, and one
is -- yes really -- 9 yds (can you say, "Hmm, backing?" I knew ya could!).
I had...

Sewing room makeover - my turn by
Kim E
DH left this morning for a business trip. The kids leave tomorrow
morning for a choir trip. This means that I have 2 full days ALL TO
MYSELF.
My sewing room is in desperate need of being cleaned out. I'm about to
head to Ikea to get new shelving for my stash. I've already cleaned
out 2 bags of...

OT sad news by
M Rimmer
My mum (Sheila) died last night just after 2am. She was at home, I was
with her, along with dad, my sisters, and mum's brother and sisters.
She'd had cancer for 7 years, so we knew it was coming but it didn't
half go fast in the last few days.
She taught me (without ever saying it in so many...

We'll have to go north again at the weekend I'm not sure she'll last
until then. To top everything else they have found a bowel obstruction.
Not sure what, if anything, they can do about this at this stage...

In your webshots album there is a photo of your neice (or other
relative) sitting in front of and sewing with what appears to be a
singer 920.. I recently acquired one of these machines from garage sale
and was wondering if I might ask a few questions as to how you are able
to keep your machine in...

Test (Actually it's just a quiz) by
The Laws
I was digging in my stash for some fabric to use as quilt backs, and found
two, one I am sure I inherited from my mom, and 5 yards I bought in a
thrift shop recently. Both turned out to be 36 inches wide. The question
is -When did the manufactures change the width from 36 inches to 40+ inches?
I...
