Quite funny really. Our quilt guild held its AGM at our monthly day
meeting last week. I was asked to be chairperson for the AGM,
electing new committee etc. There was a 'trade table' at the meeting
- LQS selling their wares with a lovely selection of quilt fabrics.
The new president presented...

Little Quilt Pix by
Bronnie[_2_]
Here's a pix of a little quilt I have made today - a little gift to
take along on our US trip shortly.
I took the quilt out on to our deck to show my quilting buddy/
neighbour, and who should fly in for a close inspection but a
kookaburra! Couldn't have orchestrated it better. At least I...

Six months ago my quilt guild entrusted me with the job of re-establishing our guild's web presence. Machine needles for quilting Q. by
Bronnie[_2_]
Hi folks
Just wondering what machine needle you use for machine quilting. Do
you always use the 'quilting needle' or just use a fine point or
standard one if you are not doing an extra special quilt?
I try to use the quilting needle, but often times I only have standard
or fine point ones and...

Charm Quilts by
Bronnie[_2_]
I'm thinking of making a scrappy/charm quilt; maybe 2x3in vertical
rectangles. I have the idea to cut a rectangle from EVERY fabric I
have in my stash. I guess that might number 500 or so. (I mostly have
under half a yard/FQ/scraps of any one fabric, no bolts like a lot of
you have.)
Question:...

G'day everyone
DH and I are having a grand time driving across the US, even tho I
injured my ankle in Yosemite! Two weeks later after hobbling around
on crutches, the Dr I saw in Rapid City SD today said it is healing
well and I can jettison the crutches and start walking. Whoo hooo!

Quilting Q. using 'Press'n Seal' by
Bronnie[_2_]
When I visited Judy in Maine in October, she kindly gave me a box of
Glad 'Press'n Seal' which isn't available in australian supermarkets.
She showed me how to trace a
quilting design on a square of it, and then finger press it to the
fabric to be quilted.
I thought I would open the topic up for...
