Elizabeth
Today I finished a memory quilt for a 9/11 victim's family. The quilt has
been 2 years in the making. Although I live in Texas and the family lives in
New Jersey, my husband and I are considering personally delivering the quilt
(and two others made by friends for the children in the family) when we...

Has anyone heard from Butterfly? Is she home from the hospital? How is she
doing?
If she is still in the hospital, you know, we can have an "enjoyable" trip

finding Christina from OK by
Susan Laity Price
Since no one on this newsgroup responded with any information on our
friend Christina in OK I will try sending her snail mail and report
back to the ng.
This is an example of how close we can become in this group without
ever really meeting face to face. Christina and I discovered that we
had...

applique on black... by
Monique Reed
My brain must be turning into batting or something--I'm contemplating
a big hand applique project--on black. It has to be possible--look at
all the gorgeous quilts at Lotusland!
She says she marks her quilts with transfer paper (on the front, one
supposes) and then does needleturn. I wonder if...

Question on Silk Batting by
Threaded
Greetings All -
Just wondering how good an investment in the silk would be versus the other
choices in batting, and the preferred usage of such.

more info on ultimate scrap project by
Susan Laity Price
Sometime this holiday week end I posted about what I called my
ultimate scrap project. Several of you had questions so I thought I
should explain more.
The only preparation for the project was to press all the fabric
scraps. They had not been pre-washed so did not need starch. If I
wanted to do an...

Recipe Update by
AliceW
As of this morning, we have 55 actual recipes. Originally I was going by
the number on the bottom of the recipe form assuming everyone who accessed
the form, actually submitted a recipe. Silly me! If that happened, we would
have 181 recipes by now! But they are arriving about 5 per day. Plenty...
