There was someone here who wanted a Puffin pattern for applique. I already sent copys (jpgs that she can print) of some to Suzie B., but cant remember who also wanted one. So, if you are a Puffin fan, or know someone who is and want the patterns/drawings I whipped up please let me know. Diana

Back posting again.... by AliceW
Welcome back, Bonnie! I know about life happening. My quilting activities have been severely decreased for a year now, but the trade off was worth it since it meant getting a new grand baby! But, I'm glad you can post a bit. I will keep your son in my prayers and hope for better days...

Hello everybody, I'm new to this group. Let me introduce myself: I'm Wendy Vosters, living in the Netherlands, married, 4 dachshunds ;-) My mother and I are totally addicted to paperpiecing for nearly 10 years. I looked at this newsgroup (a tip from my friend Jessamy), it looks like great...

I need YOUR Wings, Friday by Butterfly
Went to the Fam Dr Tues, he sent me to the Gastro Dr (this AM) and on Friday, I have both an upper and lower scopy. Some of you may recall my Dad was buried 6 years ago Memorial weekend--colon cancer. I'm nervous--I had been scheduled for a ""routine"" one in July (every July) He said we do NOT...

Crossed a new boundary by teleflora
Well, I think I've passed a milestone and I don't believe it's a good one. I bought my first BOLT of fabric. True, it WAS at Wal-Mart, but it's a really nice piece of material, and it's in my very favorite color of soft yellow. AND it was only $1/yard. But the point is, there was over 8 yards on...

New Bernina with stitch regulator by Susan Laity Price
Has anyone tried the new Bernina with the stitch regulator? It is suppose to be the same type of thing that is on the long arm machines. When you are doing free motion quilting the machine stitches the same length stitch regardless of the speed you are quilting. Does it really work? When I get...

Help !!!!!with Pinning picking out a quilter by Christina In Ok
Ok after about an hour of trying to pin this bugger of a Quilt.. I give up.. folded it all up and put my bed pillows back on.. (it's not that big, but too big for me to do it here, it drapes almost to the floor from my bed.. so I cannot get a smooth backing, or the top starts to fumble around until...

what are you looking for by Taria
That sounds pretty fun. There are lots of coffee fabrics around now. DH is from KC and is about the same with coffee. Is KC next in line behind Seattle with coffee drinkers? (think its Seattle). Odd neither of my kids drink coffee. Guess they take after my dad who claims he is too young to drink...

OT - Australian calendar by Queen of Squishies
For my piano studio bookkeeping, I need a calendar with Sunday as the last day of the week. I can't find one anywhere, and I can't seem to make one on my computer. Consider me calendar-challenged, or whatever. I accept the truth. LOL! Can someone take pity on me and send me one?? Karen, Queen...

Quilting Fear by Betty in Wi
Just curious........ What was your biggest fear when you began quilting? and have you conquered that fear? Mine was selecting fabric........I didn't have a clue. The instructor told us to pick a focus fabric and match the other colors to it. It took me forever! Now I enjoy it.......it's almost...

I have been quilting for six months now but now I feel like a fully fledged quilter. My DH bought my daughter and I a wonderful kitten last Wednesday called Ruby. He is a male cat but for reasons best known to my three year old daughter she has seen fit to call him Ruby. God bless toddlers! I have...

Need advice about a sewing machine by Jalynne
I'm in the market for a new machine soon, and funds are limited. I must say, I'm biased toward Pfaff, but haven't been able to find anything at all in my price range, even used, soooo, this is what I've found that may work for me for quite some time, until I can afford what I really want... ...

It would make your heart just sing to know about the angels and heroes here. This week I got a call from a crew that wanted to come in and help somebody. I aimed them over to a friend who had lost her trailer's skirt, deck, porch roof, steps, and her po co meter was off and gone too. Those...
