Completely OT but Very Scary by
NanaV
So, while this has nothing to do with quilting I just have to vent (and calm
down). I was walking my puppy yesterday and, about a block from home, a
neighbor's dog charged us both. Now my pup is only about 20 pounds and I
walk with a cane so when this large bull dog grabbed my pup's leg...

Yippee!! Happy Dance!! by
Donna
I just put the last border on my Latte Quilt. It is not done in the tan
Latte colors thought. Did mine with the purple and rose pansy fabric with my
embroidery done on black sateen. Will take pic and hopefully add it to my
Yahoo Photos page in the next day or so!!

Color Theory: RCTQ BOM by
Dannielle
I have been looking, and looking, and then looking again at the BOM photos.
I look at mine, then I look at others. Some I love, some I hate...we all
have that with our personal color preferences. Regardless of the color
preference (and no, I don't even like mine, I'm just using up some old
fabric...

I have had this idea rolling around in my head for a while - but your
post about the Press and Seal really made it hit home.
I'm sure many of you have friends states side who are more than willing
to send you the occasional squishy - but I understand there are several
items that either you can't...

Superbowl Quilt by
marbles_2
Whooooopeeeeeee! The Seattle Seahawks are going to the Superbowl for
the first time ever (still hard to believe) and coincidentally I'm in
the midst of making a football quilt (for my grandson, who won his
PeeWee football district Superbowl this year so it seemed a good time
to sew him a special...

Polly Esther's Hug by
Polly Esther
Last night I hurriedly wrote this to Taria -
"It's here and so is life. DH had a very minor disagreement with the
chain
saw and a pecan tree limb and is finally back from the hospital ER. The
organ company delivered the replacement for the church organ destroyed by
Katrina, the neighbor learning...

Annie England needs your help (no cost involved!) by
annie, england
Well haven't been around much last few weeks as have been fighting the
most marked MS relapse in 4 years. I am finally on some medication to
try and bring it under control -but as is often the way, the side
effects are proving as problematic as the initial problem.
As I haven't really made a lot...

Prewashing blocks by
marbles_2
Okay.....I've seen the possible error of my ways and think I should
rectify the situation.
As a longtime member of the impulsive Sew It Right Now!!! club I've
never gotten into the habit of prewashing fabric. I like the stiffness
and smell of new fabric, and have happily sewn lots of clothes and...

What are you looking for or collecting?? by
frood
We haven't had one of these posts in awhile. If there is something in
particular that you are collecting, fabric-wise! or something are looking
for, post it! Let's find out who needs what. Oh, and it may be helpful to
potential squishie senders to find out who likes to get small scraps - you
know,...

recycled jeans quilt help!! by
Charlotte Hippen
I am planning 2 quilts for my sons out of old jeans. Awhile back I cut a
bunch of 6 or 6 1/2 in. (I don't recall off the top of my head) squares from
some old jeans with the idea of making them into a couple of quilts. My
plan is to join these squares into camping quilts for my sons, but I...

OT - Yet more good thoughts needed by
Sharon Harper
Yup me again. My year has gone right down the toilet and it's only
February! First nanna passes away, then dad has surgery for cancer, then I
see Wayne's (DH's) travel schedule (I may as well be a single parent!), and
now, the day he leaves for Long Island, mum calls me in tears. We thought
Dad...

new pic by
KJ
I've posted a picture of a WIP that finally has its borders on. I'm not
sure I'm thrilled with my choices of the sprinkled random stars on the
border.....but, oh well, seemed like a good idea at the time. It's in the
"waiting to be quilted" folder. Hopefully I moved it to the #1 position so
you...

Stork to Visit by

Well I guess I should have posted this a couple of weeks ago but I'm still
getting accustomed to the idea. It seems that the Stork is going to visit
and bring me two more grandbabies this year. On Wednesday before I went into
the hospital for my heart cath, our daughter called in tears. She wanted...

Sewing machine addict, no t OT by
Ginger in CA
Hello, my name is Ginger, and I think I am a sewing machine addict. I
have accumulated 7 (yes, seven!) new-to-me sewing machines in the last
18 months. The youngest is my Singer 834 dating from the 1970's, the
rest are much older. My most recent acquisition was a Singer 99 from
eBay on Monday...

Fabric connoisseur by
C & S
I am by no means a knowledgeable person when it comes to fabric. However, a
couple of weeks ago I went to a church rummage sale and found these fabrics.
They felt old, not to mention that they also looked it. So I bought them
for a song. I had to wash them a couple of times. It was as if they...
