ot - cowboy boots by jennellh
An elderly couple, Margaret and Bert, moved to Texas . Bert had always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots, so, seeing some on sale, he bought them and wore them at home. Walking proudly, he sauntered into the kitchen and said to his wife, 'Notice anything different about me?' Margaret looked...

DP template size?? by dogmom
Grrr. *Thought* I knew what I was doing. My unfinished Drunkard's Path block is 6 3/4. Finished--6 1/4. I thought the insert would be 4 1/2" and I would cut out 4 1/4. Now --now that I've cut into my gorgeous midnight blue batik--it's being grumpy. Sewed more creases in that poor block than I...

Dimensions wanted, please. by jennellh
I have been asked to make a dozen 'all-in-one' pairs of oven mitts - if you own some, how long are they? These are the long strip mitts not separate gloves. I am guessing about 30-31inches in length and 7-8inches across? Thanks in advance, jennellh

Water heater blanket by jennellh
I finally was able to purchase a water heater blanket this week and today was the day that I installed it! I am quite pleased with myself for fitting the fibreglass quilt around the tank without too much hassle and it looks neat. I have visions now of Winston having a new bigger climbing post...

Thank you to whoever sent the unbirthday squishie. You are a very sneaky person - even the postmark was unreadable! The fabric is delightful, so cheerful. Thank you for thinking of me -- Bonnie NJ

Quiltsmart...... by Sunny[_2_]
Not long ago there was a discussion about quiltsmart -- the product that lets you make complicated patterns by a combination of flip and stitch and fusible backing. I just want to go on record as saying these are NOT idiot proof. I've always wanted to make a Texas Star. I'm from Texas and I love...

Susan- thanks so much for sharing these pics. I love all things miniature and have built two (to scale) dollhouses in my younger years. Also spent several years making miniature quilts for dollhouses, bell pulls, furniture and even calligraphy. Your husband is a very talented and imaginative...

Hello folks, As of noon on Thursday all the assignments have been handed in, and as of Friday I had recovered from the many, many rounds of drinks our Criminal Advocacy tutor bought us. It was almost enough alcohol to make us forget the 3 big assignments with which the course administrators have...

Log Cabin Blues by Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Just for the record I NEVER sew my log cabins to a long strip of fabric. IMNSHO it is too easy to get "off" and not realize it. If I cut all my logs before I sew I know if I am off as soon as one log doesn't fit correctly. It can save a LOT of troubles! This is after I make a test block and...
