It's done! by
Sindir
Happy Dance for me!!!! My quilt top is finished. You can find a picture of
it he users.moseslake-wa.com/sindir/quilting.html
Now, what I can't figure out is how it ended up 88" from top to bottom and
90" from side to side. I haven't squared it up or anything yet, but it just
seems odd to me....

my first quilt by
Irrational Number
Hello quilters,
I'm proud to be amongst you all, finally! DH
and I had made one quilt together (he designed
and sewed the top, I basted, he quilted, I
made the mock binding), but this one is all
mine!!! It's for my friend's new baby, who
came unexpectedly early, but who is now doing
very well. ...

Quilted gifts - opinions wanted by
CNYstitcher
If you got a quilted something in the mail, from someone who knows that
you quilt, and it wasn't quite right (puckering from the free-form
machine quilting), would you be disgusted, or would you be pleased
because of the simple fact that the sender was thinking of you, so much
so that they wanted...

School's Out! by
Ellison
Howdy!
Time to stay off the streets, out of the shopping centers,
forget about going to the mall. In north Texas, school's out,
the kids are roaming freely, the summer drivers are back,
and I'm staying home to quilt. VBG
Stocked up on marking pens at the Trinity Valley Quilt Show

why is quilting so addictive?? by
Irrational Number
I've made three quilts now as gifts and
two for charity. I can't stop thinking
about quilting. My brain spins up new
designs and I keep looking for stuff to
make for my friends' children.
I even dreamed about quilting. DH and
someone went deep sea fishing for tuna
and I was on the boat. I saw...

what to bring on vacation by
Irrational Number
Hello Quilters,
I'm going to Oregon for a week at the end of
this month for a family reunion. I'd like to bring
my sewing machine, but I'm not sure what project
I should bring. There will be lots of people around
and I probably won't get to do a lot of sewing, but
the mere thought of a week...

Test for quilters by
Sandy Foster
I was sent this link today:
http://www.pbs.org/americaquilts/fun/index.html. It's a test for
quilters, and I scored 21/23 -- not bad, I guess. Have fun with it!

searched by the TSA and we discovered that all the ciggies were...

Bright Orange, tye dye and blue by
*KoffeeKupz*
would this type of pattern be a good idea?
http://www.geocities.com/quiltfrenzy_archives/faux-logcabin.html
I am having a hard time with my son's fabric because I dont want to cut the
strips too small and lose the effect of the tye dye, its way too cool to not
have it in larger pieces.
Here is the...

Am I losing my mind? I could have sworn that I correctly programmed the VCR to
record Alex' program this morning from 7:30 am...
It just struck me. I didn't adjust the VCR for daylight savings time. Darn

As a part of the show there is a challenge. You were given three

OT any cat lovers? by
Janner
I have 3 cats - 1 old female and 2 young males.
One of the young males (3yrs old), who has been neutered has taken to
spraying around the house and having an "unhealthy" region down below and
constantly cleaning himself.
How do I stop him? He has been neutered, so all the urges should have...

OT Happy Equinox! by
frood
Join me in a happy celebration of the changing of the seasons. The Northern
Hemisphere's change from Summer to Fall is my favorite time of year. Where I
live, the Fall colors of the trees arrive slowly, but are intermixed with
the evergreen pines. This always reminds me of a quilt.
For my friends...
