My RCTN Blocks of the Month (Resend) by
Sally Swindells
I posted this earlier in the day, but as it hasn't come back to my
Inbox as usual, I presume it has wizzed off into cyberspace and no
one received it, so I will try sending it again.
Many apologies if you have had it before especially if you replied to
it.
Finished them at...

shadow trapunto by
Musicmaker
Anyone here see the episode of S Quilts where a lady talked about how to add
a shadow of color to their quilts? What was the felt that she used and
where does she get it, please?

Week end quilting by
maryd
I did well over the weekend. Saturday I finished the binding on a Project
Linus quilt and made 4 blocks for swaps (one was so off that it went into
the scrap box). Sunday I made the last 2 blocks for the sampler club. I
have another Project Linus quilt to finish up today then move on to...

Going nuts about diamonds! by
WhansaMi
I'm participating in a charm quilt challenge. I've decided to do
diamonds, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what size to make the
diamonds. A couple of givens: I'd like to make a king-sized quilt for
the bed (108 x 108, or thereabouts) and I'd like to use 60 degree
diamonds). I've been...

quilting frames by
WInomad
Could someone tell me which is the best quilting frame out there for hand
quilting. I'm looking for the kind with rollers that stands on the floor.
Does anyone know where I can get plans to build my own? Thanks

My Featherweight came today!! by
Mary in Mi
I am so excited! From what I was told her birthday is 6-4-1946. All in all
she is looking pretty good and she stitches beautifully but I would feel
better if I had someone look her over and give her a good cleaning.
I am in Michigan (Macomb Township) and was wondering if anyone could
recomend a...

I have purchased from Marvelous Creations (Marvelous Marv). Good

Magazines? by
Volfie, Owner, GizzMutt Stables
Besides the major quilting mags, are there still magazines being produced
for paper quilters and other specialties like crazy quilts, minis, log cabin
blocks, etc?
I love getting magazines in the mail but I'm sick of the regular quilting
ones. I want to find some new ones.

chair cushion pattern wanted by
TracingMyRoots
Someone at my quilt guild brought a very nice chair cushion that she
made....but she forgot where she got the pattern. She put the cushion on a
folding chair. The cushion had foam in the seat & in the back, & the whole
thing was covered with fabric. So when you sat on the metal folding...

Mini-update: Our turn to ask for prayers by
hfw
First of all, thank you for all of your prayers and good wishes. We will not
mind if you keep them coming!
Jim had MRIs this morning. No results yet. Also a tuning-fork neuro test,
which found that he has no sensation in one big toe and across the instep of
one foot, though no weakness anywhere....

Houston area quilt-shop shopping by
Tina
It's "Girls Weekend" !!! The boys are gone (Scout camping) and it's
just DD and I. She wants to do flea markets tomorrow so I thought we
would try to find a quilt shop or two also. But I don't seem to be
having much luck finding one, much less two. I did find one in Spring
but their hours say...

New pics and new pics by

Trying again:)
1. Finished baby quilt #2
2. Hand-made quilt by Grandmother.
3. Also: Cotton flannel log cabin lap quilt for DH, almost ready to piece
the top. Musing over border options.
I wonder if batiks will multiply and never die the way these flannels seem
to have done...

quilting frame by
Linda Enneking
I am thinking of buying a frame for hand quilting. Have done a quilt a long
time ago on a large frame with rollers, and that worked pretty well. I have
never used a small round or oval hoop. Would appreciate any advice on what I
should get. Do the new "no-baste" frames work, or would I be better...

Piecing question by
WhansaMi
This is one of those basic questions that I'm sure I should know the
answer to. But I don't. So rather than suffer from my ignorance, I'll
just announce it, and ask:
As I mentioned in another post, I am starting a charm quilt for a
challenge. I've bought a number of 4" blocks online. I am...
