digital ceramic decal by
chan
Any one have any thing about digital decal produced by laser printers?
I was told that the toner can be printed from a laser printer to decal and
transfer to ceramic surface and fire onglaze color.

Wine coolers by
Red Deer
Hi Everyone,
I've been invited to sell my pots at a wine festival in June. I make
stoneware pots but I wanted to make some wine cooler pots for this
event and I was wondering if stoneware will work as a wine cooler.
All my glazes are cone 6. If I just bisque them, will that work? I
want to at...

Rolling Clay by
usene
Hi
Just a quick one off question I hope someone here won't mind answering.
We are making many small clay flowers and have to roll the clay
thinly and then cut with a pastry type cutter. What is the best surface to
roll out on?
We can't stop the clay sticking and damaging them. We have many...

Some more YouTube from me by
Bubbles_
Hi everyone :-)
I have added to my YouTube "collection" with the process of making lidded
balls and also the opening of my bisque kiln today.
I am not posting because I want more hits on my videos. What I was hoping
for was actually some feedback from "real" (as opposed to little-old amateur...

helped me greatly with the kiln) and posted some pics

Crazing by
Xtra News
I was just browsing in clayart postings, have not actually subscribed

I have seen out and about well named stores selling dinnerware with crazed

this and does any one know how they can get...

Problem with Stilts by
Suzan
Hi Folks!
I just fired 8 stoneware mugs with cone 6 commercial glaze. I glazed the
bottom of the mugs and placed them on stilts. In a few cases, the stilts
seemed to have melted. These stilts came with an old kiln and a bunch of
other stuff. Are stilts made to different specs, i.e. high fire,...

handles by
Marmaj40
I am having the worst time attaching handles. If they don't crack at the
junction, there is a crack at the bend of the handle. What should I do? I
can't believe that the people who make lots of mugs, etc. have this problem.
Help.

Ceramichrome kiln by
Duano
I recently purchased a used kiln with the Ceramichrome brand name on
it. I don't think they make kilns anymore as my searches come up
blank. Did another company make them for Ceramichrome and they put
their name on it? Would like to know in case I need replacement parts
or any accessories that...

*Really* white porcelain slip? by
Robert Galejs
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find a *really* white
porcelain slip? There are many companies out there selling slip that is
named all manner of white, but they all turn out rather gray or
yellowish when fired. I mean the kind of white that is the same color
as your standard...

Dinnerware set by
Diego
Hello All:
I learned to make plates last week. I'm now curious
what each of you who make dinnerware sets include.
Salad plate, dinner plate, saucer, cup, etc? What
standard accessories could go with it? Gravy dispenser,
etc.?

newbie question on kilns by
Beowulf
I am thinking of buying a kiln-- a couple of questions... when i see gas
kiln prices in a catalog, do gas kilns include everything needed such as
the burners? And 240v electric kilns (cone 10)... how hard is it to wire
up 240v outlet for such a kiln. What do you all recommend, electric or gas
kiln?

new to porcelain by
Deborah M Riel
I just touched porcelain for the first time tonight. It's so soft,
and I love the way it feels! I've been working with flameware all
year, and that stuff will rip the skin off your hands and it feels
like glass slivers are embedded in your skin after working with it.
Any hints for throwing? I'm...

Glaze prettier inside cups and jars by
CNB
Has anyone noticed that their cups and jars, etc. look better on the inside
than the outside. I find on many of mine that the colors are prettier,
brighter. It seems that the glaze may be thicker. ?? I was also wondering
if it would have to do with a temperature difference from the outside to...
