Where to buy curved needle by
Myrna
Can anyone suggest where I can buy a curved needle? I have some pulls
in a carpet and I can thread a needle with the threads but can't get it
in and out of the carpet.
Thanks, Myrna

Superman Costume Pattern? by
Paula
Hi all -
I am looking for a Superman Costume Pattern (for my toddler) without
any luck. I know I've seen one in the past, but I've hunted high and
low in the pattern books and I've found everything but.
Can anyone tell me where I may be able to find one?
Thanks!
Paula

After your excellent advice on how to make valences, I am done and
they came out great! I have some fabric left and I'd like to do a
lined basket. But I can't find directions for this anywhere. There
must be a place online where I can get some help. Can any of you
recommend a site that might...

Has anyone ever worked with unprinted vintage patterns? by
Kelly
I got a new sewing passion this Christmas. Vintage patterns. However,
I've never worked with the unprinted variety. Have any of you worked
with them? Do you have any tricks that might make it easier when I try
to sew with them?
I've already discovered that the sewing instructions are next...

Half a buttonhole!!! by
tao of elizabth
Hello,
I am sorry to ask such a beginner's question, but I figure that
someone else has run into this problem before....
I am using a Kenmore machine with an automatic, one step,
button-loading buttonhole attachment. Here is my problem: the machine
will only sew half the button hole. It does the...

What began as a hobby soon blossomed into newer and more

I will have a large list of sewing machine items to trade, and I wanted to
know first if it will be okay to advertise here.
I am almost sure that the answer will be yes, but I can never be too
careful. So I rather check out before I get stabbed by a sewing machine

Help with Sewing DejaNews by
Ward
Hello,
A long, long, time ago I read a post here that gave the measurements for
various size dolls. Not the height, but the chest, mid-section, arm and
legs. It was specific for sewing doll clothes. Seems not all dolls are
created equally in circumference. I printed out the post, then lost it....

Button Holes by
Jack Schmidling
I am not up to hand worked button holes on this jacket for my wife as
the fabric is much lighter than I am experienced with so I was planning
on doing bound button holes only to learn that they should have been
done before the jacket was complete.
Not sure I understand why. Is this true?
That...
