Liam
I'm having some white areas developing at the edges of a float slump. The
white only shows at certain angles to a light source. Single thickness,
1200deg, at 400/hr, hold 20min. Slumping into a plaster mold
Is this tin bloom?
Any sujestions?

Question On fusing by
liam
I just got done fusing my first piece. Its ok But I have some areas where it
looks as if it did not fuse all the way. It’s together but there is a line
between the colors where the clear bottom glass can bee seen. I would assume
the solution would be to soak at fuse temp longer?

Brass or Bronze? by
Liam
I usually use brass for rebar. My supplier told me he caries bronze bar as
well. I don't know anything about bronze other than that the Greeks killed
alot of people with it. Is it softer or more flexable than Brass?

Looking for somebody to take over my leaded glass repair in SE Houston,
Pearland to Texas City. I don't want to make any money on this, just hand
it off. I will train if needed. Must have a vehicle and be willing to

My source of whiting dried up. My other source says it's made with
limestone. The old one said calcium carbonate. Is this still the same

Jerry-talc question by
Liam Striker
Hi Jerry. I tried your talc trick to try and replicate a glass texture.
First firing got a huge bubble. Slowed down the schedule to 200 deg/hr and
the glass mashed down the texture in the talc about 50% after firing to
1400, and still had a bubble although much smaller. Do you have any...

Hydoperm details? by
Liam Striker
I'm getting trapped air bubbles using hydroperm. I'm thinking that there
might be 2 causes.
#1. I am ramping up extremely fast to 1400 after the initial slow heat up
to 1000. This is to try and avoid devit. My denver can do it in about 10
minutes which I'm thinking is maybe to fast and is not...

One more bending question. I am bending panels for a dome swag lamp. K11
glass. The problem I am having is that half of my panels come out with a
fold in the glass, similar to what you would get with a floral former, but
not as large of a fold of course. I am using glass about 1" oversize...
