Stress Management: 10 Tips For Working Mothers by
[email protected]
In my practice as a hypnotherapist, I have many clients who come to me
for stress management. Many of those clients are working mothers who
fret about the demands on their time: children, husband or partner,
paid work and unpaid household chores all pull these women in
different directions. The...

Strange odor in fun foam by
MB
This has nothing to do with quilting but hopefully someone here
might have an answer to a little problem. Today I went to Joann's
to find something for 2nd grade kiddies for Valentines' Day as dh and I
were invited for a Grandparent's luncheon at school. I found a little
kit to make V. Day...

the cutting table set up tonight......now, just to get everything put away.
I've got sooooo much quilty stuff.
I'm sure I'll be offering stuff to share! I've already found multiples of

Bringing You All Up To Date on Quilt by
R. E. Wicker
I wanted to follow up on the entry and tell you all that grandson
Jesse a freshman at college came down to get his Blue Star Quilt and
loves it. He knows that all of you contributed to the beauty of his
gift and considers it not just from his grandmother, but all her
quilting friends. He worked...

dream puff batting question by
claudia
Googd morning everyone!
Quick question: has anyone ever used this battiong (quilter's dream
dream puff)?
I would like to make a nice puffy quilt and I'm wondering if this
stuff will hold up the puffiness and not add weight. The product
description sounds nice and just what I'm looking...

Online Fabric shopping? by
Connie[_2_]
Anyone have some great online shopping sites for fabric?
I just went crazy ordering Civil War repros for an applique quilt I
want to make ... I bought some from Connecting Threads (NAYY) and still
wasn't happy ... then I found www.fatquartershop.com (NAYY) purely by
accident! Found some really...

Magical Houseplants by
[email protected]
Whenever I'm feeling stuck in a rut, I go out and buy myself a new
houseplant. I usually do this when I get the sense that I am
surrounded by stale energy. Most people can easily pick up on this
kind of vibe -- emotionally you might be feeling stuck, bored,
frustrated, or discouraged. This stale...

Found out from my son in Arkansas that my mom (who lives 30 minutes
from me) is in the hospital. I wasn't going to call but desided I
would. Found out she has strep phnemoia. Does ANYONE know what this
is. I have never heard of it. Looked it up on the internet and know
even less.

Spot-Cleaning a Quilt? by
Sherry
I have a new quilt that doesn't need a full washing, but does have a
dingy spot. What happened is,
it was folded in the closet floor waiting to be binded (bound?) and
the old QI has been lying on it. Probably
wouldn't even show on another quilt, but this one is mostly stark
white. Pretty subtle...

Ok, so I am sorting out the data in the directory and need some help making

Quilting machines by
Sunny[_2_]
I have no way on earth to ever buy one, but I'm curious: Do any of you
have an HQ 16 or other mid arm quilters and if so what do you think of
them?
I can dream.... I think. LOL.

backing quilts by
Marie Dodge[_3_]
What are you people using to back your quilts? Sheets? What thread count do
you all recommend? A flat sheet for a double bed is too narrow for a full
size quilt so are you buying Queens size sheets to back full size quilts?

Washing your quilts by
Marie Dodge[_3_]
How do you clean your quilts? Do you machine wash them or have them dry
cleaned? All mine go into the washing machine on the gentle cycle and I use
regular detergent and fabric softener. In winter they're tumble dried and
in summer dried outside on a shady line.

English Paper Piecing--nayy by
Julia in MN
I like the papers from http://www.paperpieces.com/. I buy them at my
LQS. They are die cut, so you don't introduce any inaccuracies in
cutting the pieces out. They can be reused several times. I take them
out after I have joined other pieces to all sides. If you click on
"about" you get links...
