OT Thinking of an indoor fountain and koi pond by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
I have had this idea haunting me for some time and want to toss it at y'all
and see what you throw back at me. In the entryway of a new house there's a
stone wall- maybe to the ceiling and maybe not- maybe real rocks or maybe
the man-made type. Some type of lighting would be in the ceiling or...

please pray for my little guy by
offkilterquilter
Well, this morning was only supposed to be mildly stressful as I was
planning on taking son to school, then daughter to preschool with plenty
of time to get to the doctor's office for my thyroid biopsy. It didn't
work out that way.
Karen posted that I had IMd her from the ER on Valentine's day...

Quiltmania + Ricky Tims by
Kay Ahr[_2_]
An email from The Quilt Show says that the magazine Quiltmania named Ricky
Tims one of the 9 Exceptional Men in the quilting world.
So who were the other 8? It doesn't mention on the Quiltmania website.
Apparently it's a French magazine?

Focus on Color: Yellow by
Dannielle
I have six drawers that I sort my fabric stash into, each drawer is
one color of the rainbow - I start at the top with red and pink, then
orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. (Don't ask where the multi-
colors and neutrals are - 'cause they are mostly homeless!)
As I was packing my fabric, I...

Magic Box Elite by
redrose
For the holidays, my husband purchased the Magic Box Elite as a gift
for me. He told the service person that I had a Baby Lock Ellure ( he
purchased the machine for me so I know he knows the correct machine)
They sold him a Magic Card for the Bernia. I was not able to use the
Box until just...

those bass ackwards blocks from yesterday by
Karen, Queen of Squishies
Yesterday I ripped 8 blocks that I had sewn the ends onto backwards, in
other words facing the wrong direction. Got them all re-sewn and quit for
the day. This morning I come in to assemble them into the larger scheme of
things, and find that I have sewn them on facing the right direction...

A new approach to tumbling blocks by
John
One of my goals in quilting was to do a quilt in baby or tumbling
blocks. I have always understood that the only way to do this
particular pattern was to use the English paper piecing method. This
has been off putting for me as I didn't want to do all of that hand
sewing for each and every block on...

I stumbled across these pics and thought they were cute! Reminded me of
all the postcards folks were doing! I guess I don't eat enough altoids --
because I'm not sure how big those tins are... or what they will hold...
but the are...

OT beta blockers by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
This is a totally new thing for me and I can't think of any other groups
I'm currently on where there would be a reasonable chance of a good
number of people having some experience of these.
Basically my question is fatigue, did you experience fatigue as an
initial side effect and if so, did it...

Hi I use to come here often- sort of fell off after my mom died. I need

Best Foot forward? by
Polly Esther[_2_]
I just stitched 419" of bias vines on a quilt top. It went really well and
I'm pleased with the results - but - (you knew that was coming) there must
be a better way.
Someone here should be our Foot Fetish Queen. I'm wondering if I had
used a 'for curves' foot or something else if things...

Happy Dance! by
Kim Graham
Finished the first quilt for 2008: a bright version of an "eye spy" quilt
based on the pattern for Night and Day on my site. This one was actually fun
to piece, though the stitch-in-the ditch quilting was boooring...I almost
NEVER do such simple quilting, but this quilt begged me for it. I did a...
