Chain making and hammers. by
Ted Frater
Ah....... Peter
Your monologue in your last post on using hammers says a lot more than
the words.
I suspect you really enjoy using the hammers you have perhaps more
than the other work you do.
I certainly use the hammer more than any other tool despite having
just about every other metal working...

"transforming" a chain by
m4816k
I have a curb chain that I think is a bit too long. I came up with an idea
of transforming it in a singapore chain, cause I'd like it to keep the
weight and a similar "link" look, with a minimum work done on it (so I don't
want to just shorten it). Is that possible to do (and is it...

I'd like to ask if anyone can tell me how my wife and I can get
started on creating polished stone jewellery. We wouldn't be doing
it commercially, just for our own amusement and for presents for our
family and friends. I know...

Jewelry school by
TIJT sucks
Alot of people say that the Paris jewelry school is the best in the
nation. If that is the case I would hate to see the worst. The reason I
say this is because I graduated from there several years ago.
Upon graduation I looked for jobs all through the state of Texas and
Oklahoma
and the best job I...

Fine silver surface by
[email protected]
I am going to be casting sterling silver rings for enameling. In doing
the homework for this I have found a source from one book that says the
surface of the model exits the cast with a layer of fine silver without
copper. If this is true, it would eliminate the need of further
preparation of the...
