Looking for a 12 Days of Christmas pattern by
Meredith
My mom did this for her sister about 10 years ago and can't find the
pattern... I have no idea if it's a chart or from a magazine, either.
It was shaped like a Christmas tree, with the gold ring at the top, 2
turtle doves on the next line down, and so on. I couldn't find it in
the Hoffmandis...

Stitch a Photo by
Morgana
Well, I got my chart back... OH BOY! It's going to be an absolute nightmare.
She did say that she had had to "do a lot to the photograph" and had some
trouble picking out the colours, and wished me all the best of luck! I am
kind of looking foward to it and kind of dreading it, to be honest! I...

Attn Darla . . . need word help by
Dianne Lewandowski
I looked this up, but am still stuck. Being our resident wordsmith, can
you tell me:
I know that "premiere" is for a first performance
I know that "premier" is first in order
But can other things be a "premiere" if it's an unveiling and first in
order?
Boy, it's hard to ask a question when you...

stiffner for crochet snowflakes???? by
gundoc
I am crocheting some snowflakes for gifts. I don't know anything about
stiffner (is there any things that I need to make the snowflakes hard at
home??). I know glue is one of them. My mother in law loves crochet
snowflakes. I just crochet 3 snowflakes so far (will make few more).

Yet another use for floss by
Cheryl Isaak
I suppose it is surface work or perhaps appliqué, but I just finished using
floss to blanket stitch DD's Daisy (Girl Scouts) petals and center on. The
troop is using felt backed with iron on tape. I even matched each separate
color piece with the nearest shade of floss.
Wonder how many Mom's will...

Birthday surprise by
Barbara Hass
DH decided to surprise me with a sewing machine for my birthday.
Nothing fancy, but it's a good one. Now I need to learn how to sew....
My first project is going to be a cover for the machine, since it didn't
come with one.
This is on-topic, because someday when I've learned how to use it,...

TECH SUPPORT...IT'S A NIGHTMARE!!! On topic by
Caryn
I NOW HAVE TO FROG OUT EVERYTHING I STITCHED IN WHITE!
I hate blank squares on the chart. I especially hate having to read thru the
"notes" section of the instructions searching for the information.
I think charts should have a symbol for each and every color. If the square is
blank, than it...

Finding Fabric HELP! by

I think I found my next big personal project while waiting for some

Stitcher's World (Sept '03 issue) called Victorian Garden on page 20.
However I would like to do the piece as a whole rather than in
panels. The directions list a...
