OT obligatory b***h about cooking by
Cheryl Isaak
I love my Thanksgiving dish - roasted root veggies, but I hate making it for
a crowd!
Actually, it is going quite well - I bought peeled garlic and baby potatoes:
those were quick; the onions were huge, so I only had to slice a few and I
did coins for the sweet potatoes.
DS is peeling the carrots,...

Robert
Does anyone know where I could get hold of some fabric (preferably cotton
but will consider anything) that is printed with sewing designs...eg
thimbles, reels of thread, etc. I'm in the UK but don;t mind buying online
from reputable sources.

Wunderweb by
Robert
Hello all
Is there any product on the market similar to the wunderweb you iron on to
turn up hems, but in a usable size piece instead of a thin strip? I do a
lot of embroidery on delicate fabrics and it would be smashing if I could
buy something to iron on a backing of cotton fabric to protect my...

Help finding a thread . . . by
Dianne Lewandowski
I know that in the U.S., DMC no longer sells "flower" thread. I have a
small amount.
Does anyone know if there is a smiliar thread by another company, and is
it readily available in the U.S.?
Thanks.

Are people interested in embroidered replicas of famous art? by
George
I would like to make embroidered versions of some selected famous oil
paintings but I have no idea weather people like this kind of art
style or not. Does anyone have any ideas about it? We did make some
of silk embroidery paintings that you can view them at
http://EmbroideryArtwork.com.
Thanks.

Thanksgiving Stitching by
FKBABB
Our turkey just went into the oven -- the first I've had to prepare in 20
years. Found myself using a rather nice feather stitch to close it up. But, I
did use knots.

Congrats, Mary Monica. Woo-hoo! by
Susan Hartman/Dirty Linen
I was just looking at the Barnes and Noble website, and in their "coming
soon" dept. they list upcoming books, with a photo of the cover of ONE
of the books on the list for that week. Well, for the week of December
22nd, the photo is "Cutwork" by Monica Ferris. COOL!
Mary Monica, if I were you I'd...

magnets for purses by
Puffins
I have seen in a store a cotton fabric purse that closed using a magnet. It
wasn't the nice "magnetic clasp" this was just a square of magnet (kind of like
the kind you can cut up for craft work) between the layers but it was strong.
This was used in a reversible purse and I can't find this kind of...

sites/ways to buy/trade old charts/kits? by
Patricia Warren
It's been years since I read RCTN directly, and today when I tried to
go to "Cross Stitch Traders" via Kathy Dyer's super page (!) I
discovered that it's gone. I've been to Oldstitch and the new Quin
auction site (just getting up and running) but was hoping to find a
bulletin board similar to...
