How do you clean bead release? by
Glitzy Glass
Hi Cindy;
I'm not sure that the clerk was correct when she told you that the
beads were from the US. Usually US lampwork is cleaned. Sounds more
like Chinese beads sold by someone in the US. The problem with that is
they may not be annealed, so they may break in the future. But that is
a whole...

Closing jump-rings effectively by
Daisy
I am attempting to make some earrings using irridescent plastic or
acrylic comets threaded onto jump rings.
I am having a dreadful time trying to close the jump rings
sufficiently so that the very thin plastic does not fall through.
I have varying thicknesses of jump rings in various sizes, but...

It seems that someone needs to stand up in defense of Fire Mountain. I

Debi's auctions by
Linda2
Was there a result posted? I didn't see it if there was, so I checked Kim's
website. The grand total raised was $14, 081.03.
That's almost 3 times the amount that was needed. Once again, I am awed by
the generosity of the beading community. I knew we wouldn't fall short.
Love you guys SO...

Brick Stitch earring patterns by
Beadbimbo
Ok, apparently I'm terrible at searches, but I remember, a while back,
seeing some cute brick stitch patterns on a site, but since I was so new to
seed beading, I didn't mark the site. Now, I can't find them. If you know
of a site with some cute patterns that would be good for earrings, would...

Good Source for Chain by
Kathy
I am intrigued by the newer multistrand designs that use chain. Anyone know
a good source to buy chain.
I will probably go with gold plate or gold tone. Gold filled is a bit too
steep for the kind of design experimenting I want to do.
Thank you :)

Lampworking/Bead making 101 by
Rip
I would like to try my hand at bead making, but only as a hobby. I have
a good supply of borosilicate capillary scrap that I could use and a
propane/oxygen torch. Would someone be kind enough to point me in in the
right direction? Either a good starter book or website for beginner's
would be...

Hi all
Apologies if you have seen my post elsewhere tonight.
I have been on the phone with my brother, who owns the website
Mindat.org . Mindat is probably the largest mineral/gemstone site there
is. Some of you might know if it you are also rock hounds.
Anyway, the long and the short of it is...
