Pet Peeve on topic websites by
roxan
I was doing a search for interesting beadwork and jewelry late night and
every time I get into sites I have trouble just getting to see anything. Is
it me or do people just make difficult sites to see their work? It seems
that the pictures of their work is buried deep inside a link or not easy...

Announcement: Lampwork Classes by
Laurie
I got this information today. I've taken these classes and they are wonderful
and I can highly recommend both of these teachers. And I can recommend
Asheville as a destination, too.

Poly Clay/ wicked Candace by
Stephanie
I have only recently realized what awesome beads you can make from poly clay
(by reading this newsgroup and following links). So it's on my I gotta do next
list. Then Candace just goes and gets clay and starts to make BEADS! Just like
that! So now I am obsessing. I am going through more and more...

My Bead Challenge piece by
Carol in SLC
My challenge consisted of making a very "simple" piece of jewelry without using
any lampwork (much more difficult for me than it sounds, LOL). I had to remake
the piece three times to get the uncluttered look I was striving for. I
scanned the bag that served as my inspiration. ...

Macy pic, beady things, other stuff - OT by
Tink
It's been so hot and humid here that my primary activity has been attempting
to breathe. That's the ONE thing I miss about the apartment: Air
Conditioning.
Macy, our new puppy (six months old) is doing great! She's very well
housebroken, and she has had zero accidents. I'm discovering she kind of...

OT, sorta: No chance to make beads grrrr! by
Kalera Stratton
OK, so, for a week I've been waiting for a chance to go torch. My camera
even finally showed up, MORE incentive to get out there and work!
Saturday, too much was going on for me to make more than two beads. OK
then.
Yesterday, I managed to make eight mediocre beads. Sigh.
Today, DH was home all...

Help - Gingko leaves pattern or instructions needed by

got the book "Beading with brick stitch" by Diane Fitzgerald. In it there
is a picture of a gorgeous gingko leaf necklace. This website

Happy Happy Joy Joy: New Toys - OT by
Tink
I guess it's OT. LOL!
Anyway, I am on my way to go pick up my new camera, an Olympus C-5050. It's
a far cry from my old, but trusty, Mavica FD-91. I'm sure I'll have an
interesting and steep learning curve.
I just placed a $6,000 order with Wale Apparatus. My heart is still
pounding! It's SO MUCH...

Naming is the game, and I suck at it. by
Sterling[_3_]
Does anyone else have a hard time coming up with names to call their jewelry pieces?
I do, and I don't know why. Sometimes the name just comes to you, but most times I am at a loss.
I can sit here for hours and never come up with a name to call this stuff. What the hell is wrong
with me?
I...

COMPLETELY OT - Stickers! by
Tink
Back in the early 1980s when my stepchildren were about 10/12 years old, we
collected stickers together. Now, keep in mind that back then, finding ANY
kind of decorative sticker was somewhat of a coup. Suzy's Zoo, Mrs.
Grossman... Those were all in the future.
As with everything else I do, I...
