Thread preference by Trixie
How do you decide which thread to use. Is the 100% cotton better? Cotton/polyester blend? 100% polyester? And what makes one better than the other? Trixie

has anyone added a machine to thier hand quilting frame? by Becky
Okay, up front, no, I haven't done this. But since you've had no replies so far, I decided to throw in my two cents. I rather suspect that this is not a feasible thing to accomlish. The large hand quilting frames such as the "easy build", are specifically engineered to do hand quilting. Their...

Question about Big Foot by nnaoj5
Just recieved this today. I have a Singer slant needle machine. Now my question is --Is it supposed to make a clicking noise or am I doing something wrong? It looks to me like it can only be attached one way. I think I have it on right. The needle shaft is hitting it. Jo Ann ..having a time...

Hi Guys, Well, I couldn't lay hands on the book that has this pattern so I just drew it up, scanned the drawing and posted it at Webshots. If you are interested, look in the Quilt album -- it's at the bottom. By starting off with a 6" center square, making subsequent rows 3" wide and using 6...

OT - whew what a day! by Sharon Harper
Actually it's half on and half off topic. Monday I saw my Diabetes specialist (we won't mention how late she runs!) and I mentioned a problem I've been having for about 4 months. I told her I'd seen my GP who ran one test which came back all clear and she nearly fell off her chair when I informed...

cathedral windows by rsqpug
I am going to play with Cathedral Windows, just want to make the initial four squares so I can STOP dreaming about it at night! Anyway, I have this idea to join the four squares using an entre-deux stitch using the edge joining foot on my Viking. This would be with a colored bobbin thread, which...
