Hey, new Grandmas....Wanna swap bugs? by
Connie Einarson
This isn't as daffy as it sounds. I have been accumulating fqs for a
bug in a jar quilt, and realized that you can get 4 jars out of a fq.
Since I would like all of my jars to be different, I would love to swap
a 1/4 of a fq, or a 9 x 11 in. piece, with anyone who would like to
swap, and hopefully...

OT! A favor, please? by
Leslie in Missouri
I checked this- The Animal Rescue Site- with "Snopes" and it IS
legitimate. This is a way you can help feed needy animals at no cost to
you. They will even send you a reminder email 5 or 7 days a week. It
just takes a few seconds to click and help provide food for animals in
shelters. I've been...

Computerized Long Arm by
Eli
I read a while back about a home long arm machine that you hooked up to your
computer and sent the designs down to the machine. The computer controlled
and moved the machine. Anyone know the brand? My Internet searches are
leading me nowhere.
Thanks,

TerriLee In WA
Well, I've been sewing. (what else) Not much quilting, but bunches of other
things. New "house pants" DH (who is doing fine, thanks for all the
prayers, good thoughts & warm wishes), Easter "princess" dresses for a
couple of the grandaughters, and I'm fixin' to start on one for me!! Imagine
that....

Quilts for animals? by
Paul & Suzie Beckwith
I know this has been asked before, and on a regular basis, but can
someone point me in the direction of Jills website/email, the lady who
makes quiltlets for animals in shelter?
Got a load of fabric that she may be able to use...

News from Royce by
Royce
All this running around buying stuff to furnish a second home keeps me away
from the fridge & gets me moving. We can only do this stuff when DH has his
days off. This week it's W-Th.-F.
Today we went to the second hand shop again, set up for our furniture to be
delivered here on Friday, picked...

OT the Explosions in Madrid by

My deepest condolences to all those who lost a loved one in the explosions
in Madrid. What a wicked, cowardly act. Let's hope the terrorist
perpetrators are brought to justice.

newbie hugs by
Musicmaker
I'm toying with the idea of starting a newbie hug list - to make newbies
feel noticed and welcomed. It would only require my getting their addresses
to make available to anyone who wants to send a squishie to a newbie. Is
anyone interested or is this just another 'burden' for you already...

Have you seen these beautiful quilts? by
Kathy
I was looking for some ideas for future quilt projects and I came upon
this site with some beautiful (different) quilts. Maybe you have seen
them before but I haven't. Real bright bold colors, look easy to make
by letting the fabric design do the work. I love the Spring 5 patch
design and colors,...

Machine in the Repair Shop by
Jill Pochik
Well, my machine is in the shop for some big repairs. Some of the parts
are still under warrenty, so that's a help with the cost. I guess I've
worked it too hard over the last year.
Right now, I'm trying to use my MIL's 40 plus year old Kenmore and it
sure makes me miss my machine. Well at least I...

advice needed on which is the best bargain! by
Morag Peers
Hi all,
I have been browsing on Ebay for some fabric and have come across two lots
which interest me. I can only really justify buying one, so I need to know
which would be the best bargain!
The first is for 25 fat quarters, all different.
The second is for 1kg (2.2lbs) of scraps, 50+ different...

Screwed up YBR quilt by
Eli
I started a Yellow Brick Road quilt last night for my DD2 in pinks and
yellows. I quilt at night and early mornings when I'm not so alert, and
when I got to the step where I'm supposed to cut the remaining 6" strips
into 5" segments, I cut them into 5x5" squares. Made sense to me at the
time......

Is anyone going to the Dallas Quilt Show? It looks like I won't have a
job by then, so my intention is to be there Friday when it opens and
probably stay all day.
I can harly wait! I love looking at the beautiful quilts and drooling
over the fabrics I want and can't afford.

use things I wouldn't have thought of for uses that amazed me.
