Great pinwheels and pretty model. They are both really sweet.
I do love pinwheels for baby quilts.

Squishies, squishies!!!!! by
Marlys in Indiana
OK, who is responsible for this??? The last three days (including today)
there
have been squishies in the mail. What a fabulous surprise. (Also excuse
the
tears on the keyboard, hope they don't come through this posting.)
After wondering what I could do to really put parts of these lovely
pieces...

squished! by

One of those wonderful envelopes arrived today, and I couldn't open it until
DBIL and DSIL left. (A miracle of politeness!) My reward was a FQ of the
most gorgeous blue and purple butterflies, a 15-color Kaufman print! I shall
have butterflies dancing through my brain all night long!
A big hug for...

Tidewater shop hop and Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival by
JL
I can't wait for Mid-Atlantic this year!! I signed up to take a couple of
classes (fabric painting, a vest class, and a seascapes class teaching
embelishments). My theme of classes this year is embellishing.
Is anybody else going this year or taking any classes?
Also, I recently read in one of...

value in fabric by
Cheryl in Oz
You can buy "Ruby Beholders" (pieces of red perspex) to look through for
helping to determine colour values too now.
They work, but I made a couple from old embroidery frames with some coloured
cellophane paper - double thickness, one set of red and one of green. The
green is to use when looking...

News Flash! Cheap batiks and all other fabrics! NAYY by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
First of all, I'm not affiliated with this store/web site, just a very
happy customer. Leslie (another one!) at Material Pleasures not only
has lovely fabric, quick answers to emails and prompt shipping, but she
gave me a refund when the actual shipping cost less than originally
invoiced! I like...

value in fabric by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
I bought the red and green thingies. I use them fairly oftem. The red
one came in very handy with my Lone Star just the other day. I had a
lavender/purple fabric in it that I thought was too much for the other
muted colors. Pat on her hill liked *that* fabric right *there*, so
she suggested I...

Book recommendation by
M Rimmer
This year I wanted to read my kids The Night Before Christmas (this is
on topic I promise), and I wanted an illustrated version because I think
that's helpful for small kids. The one I found was illustrated by Tomie
De Paola and it is very quilt-related. Every picture has a quilt border,
