OT for granddarling admirers by
Karen, Queen of Squishies
In our family, the birthdays of DH and DGD are two days apart, so we
celebrate with the whole family together every year. Since we now have TWO
granddarlings with us, it was a fun photo day!

OT kinda just venting by
Cats
I am way out from a major shopping centre so I do a lot of
shopping on the internet, and a lot of that is from the
States or the UK as well for stuff I just can't source here.
The past month has been a nightmare for ordering and postage
and I just can't believe it is the coming of Christmas.
I...

Questions about quilting a grid pattern by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
My rail fence quilt top has 6.25 in. finished blocks. To save time, I
want to quilt it in a grid going thru the middle of each block both
horizontally and vertically using purple or green rayon thread and a
pretty little curvy vine/leaf stitch that my machine does. (I'm using
Warm & Natural...

another old quilt/top story - long by
DrQuilter
After visiting the restoration booth at the PNW quilt show, I got
invited by another guild member to attend a satellite group that meets
once a month - this woman is lovely, restores old quilts and
makes/fixes/finish new ones as a bussiness.
She knows I love my rescue quilts, and has given me...

OT - Update on the Little Guy by
Mika
Well, the pediatrician called with some of the results of the baby's
endoscopy. He definitely has ulcers, we just don't know exactly what is
causing them. They haven't gotten all the lab results back yet. So we wait.
In the mean time, before the poor baby could get fully recovered from that...

Janome 6125QC Machine Problem by
Edward W. Thompson
I use a Janome 6125QC machine which works fine although I have
recently had a problem that I would like to share and ask whether
anyone has had a similar problem and how to overcome.
The problem related to top tension or rather a lack of top tension
which was eventually diagnosed as thread caught...

happy dance -- new quilt pic uploaded by
kratersge
I finished my stack n whack finally; come see. It's the first shot in
my web site.
It's tough to see the hand quilting; but it is possible; make sure you
make it *full size* so that you have to scroll through the picture. My
new flat screen show it up lots better than my old tube.

All on hold now by

I'm only making two Christmas presents. One will be simple and quick.

have all the plans and drawings made. Now all I have to do is put it
together. My little niece (2 1/2) lives in Phoenix. We lived there when
my boys were...

Guild Activity Idea??? by
Kate G.
We have ended up without a program for our January meeting (early in the month). I need to come up
with something... fast.
I don't have the time to pull together a demo night. Last time we did it -- took lots of time to
"cajole" other guild members into demo'ing. We actually had 3 demo nights...

Really, really miniature quilts? by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Maybe this gentleman could be convinced to teach a seminar in
mini-quilts?
http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/microscopic.asp
Wouldn't that be something??? Now, I could *almost* envision Pat on
her hill working in this size.... (VBEG)

Swimmer designs by
Marlys in Indiana
Hi, everyone,
Have any of you seen any quilting fabric that has swimmers on it?
Step-grandson has turned into a top-notch swimmer and would like to make
something fitting the sport. Or if any of you have any counted cross stitch
pattern of a swimmer, that would also be a great asset for me....

AQS Online Quilt Contest by
Bronnie
Checked my entry in the above mentioned contest (entry #1079) and it
has me listed as Bronwyn Ferrier, Alabama instead of Australia! When I
filled in the online entry form, I had difficulty in getting it to
accept Australia as a country instead of a US state. Have just
emailed them to see if...

50th time around...wanna thimble by
Sartorresartus
Ok then. Mum wants to buy me a birthday present for my half century.
So I'm going to treat myself to a silver (possibly) thimble and a cage
to hang it in (or a chatelaine, always wanted a real one).
Question: Roxanne, Thimblelady, Other-special-one-I don't-know-about or
an ordinary square-topped...
