Jenny Raymond? by
Sandy
Not to be confused with Jennie Rayment, of course. ;) I was wondering if
anyone here has ever made any of her bags? I'm specifically interested
in her neck purse and/or "A Touch of Parie" (sic). If you have, are her
instructions easy and clear? How did you like the finished product?
Thanks!...

Quilt Police by
Charlotte
I have to pass this story I read along to you all. It is from a Dear Jane
group I belong to. It sounds like a great way to deal with some of those
self appointed quilt police (weather they were planned or unplanned
'mistakes'). Hope you enjoy.

Stretch fabric doll by
Johanna Gibson
Hello,
I cut the lining out of a vest (white undershirt) that I always hated
- (the lining, not the vest). I now have a strip about 6" wide and
about a yard long. It is in good condition because I only wore the
vest about twice, while it had that useless lining.
I would like to make a soft,...

OT slightly by
Anna Belle [email protected]
Hi all,
I took a day for myself yesterday and moseyed around our little
downtown area which is mostly antique stores and thrift stores. I
mostly stay away from the "antique" stores because of inflated prices
that come with the word.
During my tour of a favorite thrift store, I discovered a...

free program viewing by
Boca Jan
There used to be a bunch of sites you could go to to see free demos or
programs of quilting stuff like Fons and Porter. Are there any left?

Georgia (LQS) on My Mind! by

Hello!
Well, I posted this question earlier this week, but got no response. Hoping
that we have more readers since it is weekend AND Quilting Day, I'll ask
again. Thank you for your patience.
Does anyone have information about any LQS in Macon or Peachtree City,
Georgia? We will be driving...

On topic laugh by
maryd[_3_]
DH had his interview for the job in Washington. The consultant that got the
motel up to Best Western standards said they were expecting to sell out this
weekend but he didn't know what was going on other than some quilt show at
the fairgrounds. DH said if he knew quilters, he would understand...

Twin Hugs arrive by
[email protected]
I just got the following email from Connie:
You have confirmed that God and Angels are real. I'm sure you had no
way of knowing, but the quilts arrived on Thursday, which was the nine
month anniversary of Sean's funeral. Cathy and I had been struggling
the entire day. We saw those quilts and...

polyptych! by
Jack Campin - bogus address
I forget who was asking for the word for something like a triptych but
with more panels - dunno how I missed this, but it's a "polyptych".
The word implies many folds or hinges rather than many panels, though.
A book is a kind of polyptych.

Squeaky machine... by
Johanna Gibson
My sewing machine started squeaking a few days ago. I took the bobbin
race all apart and cleaned everything out, went to put a drop of oil
and.... I'm out. :( Shall have to order some.
After more poking around, I found the sound is not coming from there,
but up in the workings, near the...
