Web site updated by
Julia in MN
I have updated my web site; the link below should take you to the new
page. There was a recent discussion about machine quilting in sections;
my home page has a link to another page where I describe in words and
photos how I did it.

I finally got the silk quilt picture posted but, I messed up. by
WHOLEYLADY
I apologize for posting the picture on jigzone. I think someone left the site
active on my screen and when I saw 'post pictures', I did! I wasn't paying a
lot of attention and when I went to look at the picture, it was a puzzle. You
can see the quilt at the link below. This is a quilt I made for my...

Disappearing posts by

Yes, they go the way of the wayward socks. Or, perhaps they get eatten by

Met Betty and Loren at In the Beginning by
Dr. Quilter
Last Sunday at noon we met at ITB in Seattle... Betty, who went with her
daughter and grandaughter (cute little girl!) was buying a wonderful
assortment of blue fabric for a rowing quilt she is making for her
husband (that will have apliqueed oars, if I understood well). I took my
crazy baby...

OT Outlook on Life by
shhdesigns
Shared by a friend, passing it on to others.
1) Life isn't like a box of chocolates, it's more like a jar of jalapeños --
you never know what's going to burn your butt.
2) I love deadlines. I especially like the Whooshing sound they make as they
go flying by.

applause for Rowenta by
Polly Esther
Well, just fancy this! I shipped my Rowenta to the repair place listed in
my iron's manual. I told them it was 17 months old. I asked for an estimate
on what it would cost to repair.
After about 3 weeks, my iron has been returned. No bill, no suicide
note, no demand for me to go away and never...

"Extra" seam allowance? by
Meghan
Hi, as an on-again-off-again lurker this is the first place I thought to ask
when I had a question. :)
My son's toddler quilt was my second quilt and though it had no triangles,
only squares and rectangles, it had *lots* of seams and pieces. Now that he's
about to turn three he's really grown...

Bernina Oiling Question by
Nana2B
I oil & clean my machine every other bobbin change. Which model do you
have? In the 200 you remove the stitch plate and tune the wheel until you
see 2 little holes in the shuttle and drop 1 drop of oil. In my 153 I
remove the shuttle and put a drop on the metal part and put it back in.
Just that...

If I only learned to follow cutting directions by
julia sidebottom
sigh Leave it up to me to 'think' I know enough about fabric cutting
that I wouldn't make terrible mistakes!
I spent the best part of today (when I could have been piecing or
swimming) cutting and re-cutting fabric.
I received in the mail yesterday my first book on "Stack n Whack" so
of course I...
