Kato Polyclay by
tina16
Has anyone else used this brand? It is named after Donna Kato. I am
new to polymer, have only dabbled in the past, but I am now interested
in creating jewelry using metal clay. Before using the explensive
silver clay, I want to practice with polymer clay. I found Kato
Polyclay and figured it would...

Aunt Acid celebrates the Day of the Dead by
Sarajane Helm
and she's doing it all month in the window of a fabulous bead store in
Boulder Colorado. She's wearing beads, of course---some I made, some I just
strung up. Many of the beads have skulls and hands and other symbols, and
she's got a beaded skull scepter too. And a polymer clay skull in her...

Polymer clay cane covered eggs by
Wanda
Does anyone know how to make the cane covered eggs? I am not clear on
how to put the cane slices on the egg. I worked with the slices on
some small clay beads that I figured I would use for earrings but they
turned out so distorted. I have no idea how to get them on the
surface of the item and...

Your three favorite polymer clay artists? by
mermaidscove_com
Who are your three favorite polymer clay artists? It's ok to vote for
yourself ;-). I took a long break from clay and I guess my favorites
are maybe considered old hat but I doubt I'll ever replace them- Tory
Hughes and Karen Lewis. There's a lot of contenders for third, this
week it's Jill...

new technique with jones tones foil !!!!! by
xtine
Dear poly friends,
I developped a new technique to tranfer Jones Tones foil to inked clay!
First you photocopy a nice picture with a toner base ink , then you apply
the copy face down on your clay. You burnish slightly and you apply acetone
( in your hardware store) with a Q-tip. The transfer on...

newbie questions by
Umberto Ramirez
I'm ready to get started in polymer clay, but I have a few questions
(sorry if they seem ignorant) - I do plan on buying some books that
will hopefully also answer these questions, but any help is appreciated:
Does the clay change color (get lighter, darker, etc.) if it is baked
properly? Will...

*Ping* Barbara, Sarajane, anybody? about bakeability by
Martha[_4_]
Hi, can't believe the spam lately. Anybody want to start a Google or Yahoo
group? I hate moderated groups but this is ridiculous!
Anyway, here's my question. I want to do some almost full-sized faces. The
only thing I could find at a retail art store was a plastic face form. Here
it is:...
