the best way to crush glass to make frits by
joe draper
Hi
Has anybody got a better method to crush glass to make frits? At the moment
I am putting it between canvas and whacking it with a 21/2 pound hammer but
the canvas does not last very long and I end up with bits of the cloth in
the glass. Any ideas will be well appreciated.
Thanks
Joe

Best professional soldering iron?? by
[email protected]
Can anyone suggest the BEST soldering iron on the market today?
I used to have one that came from France, I believe...and used it with
a rheostat.
I think that there are professional models available today with a built
in temp controller...
but how good are they?
It also has to be 220/240...

Advice needed -- Cutting Narrow Strips by
Joe Cahill
I am having difficulty cutting narrow and long strips of glass. The strips
need to be about 1/4 inch wide -- length isn't too critical, but I'd like to
get it about a foot or so. I'm working on the Odessy variant of Tiffany's
Lotus Lamp and there are more narrow pieces of glass involved than I...

Andrea[_2_]
I’m searching for a place to sell my crafts and glass work and I'd
like to share my findings with the group.
The most popular places to sell DIY handmade are ebay and etsy.

Glass tubes by
skdilts1
Does anyone know where to get Borosilicate glass tubes about 1 1/2 '' in
diameter without having to buy a boatload? The length is not so important as
I can cut them to what I need. Thank You, Sharon

brass came by
M. Paradis
Hi all,
I had a request for brass came panel, but I have never done a panel before,
and I would have the following questions:
How do I cut the came?
How do I bend it to contour each glass piece.
I guess it is much longer to make a panel than with lead.

Technical questions on etching and annealing by
Michele Blank
another possibility might be that the rougher sides caused more air
pockets/bubbles in the etching medium so didn't etch as completely. when i
etch i always 'work' the acid to alleviate this problem.?? m
