Exciting find and question about vintage machine by
silverbells
I have been looking around at yardsales lately. I decided to step in to
an estate sale and I found a Singer 319W there. I paid $55 for the
machine, a table, and quite a few accessories. The table is not
original to the machine (I don't think- but I'm not an expert.)
She needs to be cleaned up. ...

OT good thoughts please by
NightMist
A friend of ours just got a call that her sister had gone into hard
labor.
Problem is her sis is a month early, and the baby is face up in
transverse lie.
So good thoughts for mom and baby, a c-section is underway as I type.
Also good thoughts for our friend who got about 10 miles out of town
on...

Free quilting motifs by
Pat in Virginia
Here is a site for free stencils intended for painting. I think
many would work nicely as quilting motifs. These are simple
outlines. Did I mention free? NAYY, just like the About.Com sites.

Squishies? by
Jenn
Okay ladies.
I found the FAQ that tells me what squishies are? But I cannot find
any information that tells me how to join in.
If you would care ot share that particular bit of information with a
newbie, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
Jenn

Minkee, minkee,minkee by
MoragP
The minkee arrived a few minutes ago. It's purple, very plushy like a super
velvet, very soft, very drapey.
I only took it out of the box to look at it and I'm covered with little shreds
of purple.
The back is a slippery acetate, I think. I can't imagine using this as a quilt
backing. There are...

More about angles by
the black rose
Remember that Jinny Beyer quilt ("Mayflowers") that I was trying to
figure out the angles? The one that's $172 in a kit?
Well, you can't buy the pattern online (they said they're working on
getting patterns onto their website), but you CAN order just the pattern
by phone. I called the toll-free...

back from Hawaii by
Idahoqltr
We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We cruised the islands Feb. 3 - 10
and then spent four nights on Maui. I bought fabrics at "Sew Special"
in Maui and I bought a Christmas wall-hanging and a flip-flop looking
coin purse at another store. For the four quilters in my goup, I
bought little sachet...
