Heard from Bobbie V by
Cheryl Isaak
No grandbaby #2 yet, lots of stitching done and lots time with Kaito.
She sounds well and has no time to battle google to post.

Slightly off topic - especially for Brat and the other knitters by
Cheryl Isaak
DD and I are watching a rerun of CSI NY. One part of the story is taking
place at a dog show and it isn't ringing true at all.
Especially since the murder was done with a bamboo knitting needle - a big
one and the owner of the knitting needle tells Mac (? I get the characters
confused) she knits...

OT - Marmite by
Sharon
A very nice lady I know who lives in N.S. sent me a lovely package
today. Marmite!!! Holy crap, it has got to be the most foul tasting,
gut wrenching, disgusting thing I ever tasted. I'd rather lick an old
boot. No wonder you guys came to America - to get some decent food.
Barf I think the...

Textile manufacturing by

Textile manufacturing
Textile manufacturing is one of the oldest human industries. The
oldest known textiles date back to about B.C. In order to make
textiles, the first requirement is a source of fiber from which a yarn
can be made, primarily by spinning. The yarn is processed by knitting
or...

OT - empathy and chocolate needed by
anne
I won't bore you with the details, but I have done something incredibly stupid.
I already regret the act and am hoping that there's no ripple effect.
I'll accept any kind of chocolate, except white.

Who is Rich's Stitches?
I finally got inot the photos, and found rich's stitches, and the photo
of the tiger - back of work, and I have no idea how anyone can make it
look like that. Mine looks like a dogs breakfast and it has never
really bothered me. Okay, not quite like a dogs breakfast,...

Help! Candlewax on carpet! by
Pat P[_2_]
We had a powercut last night, and oneof those stupid fancy candles that burn
down the middle leaving a surrounding wall collapsed and flared up
alarmingly. The flame was too big to blow out really, so I took it into the
kitchen with the aim of "drowning" it in the safety of the sink - but on...

REALLY OT..Info on Sunbeam MixMster by
Gillian Murray
OK, guys, we are in the midst of the big annual yardsale. I have
unearthed the EMIL's Sunbeam MixMaster. #100-86659. It has the two
bowls, and various mixing tools. Is this something I stick $2 on, or is
it really more of a collector pieces. Haven't a clue, have never used
it, but she made...

OTIT will be COLD here by
Gillian Murray
They are calling for freezing temps here for the rest of the week, in
the 20s on Saturday morning.Ordinarily, this is no problem, turn over
and go to sleep.
However Thurs, Fri and Sat are the Annual Neighborhood Yard Sales.
Usually 80-90 houses have stuff out.
I have to be up and out around...

Needlepoint canvas question by
Fay
Hi, I have been struggling with a printed canvas for some time. The
shading is very difficult even in good light (naturla and Ott-Lite)
with several very close colours. There is a key of sorts, where the
design is in black and white and parentheses grouping up to 6 colours
for a section of the...

THIS--IS--FOR--EVERYONE by

To make money online many people jump right in before they are
properly prepared. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a
brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there
are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be
successful, you don't just jump...

Thought some of you might like this - looks very intriguing and
possibly a great way to use up some of those stray charms and beads we
all seem to collect. . .

Amiguruumi by

I posted this on the yarn group, but haven't had a response. Is there
anyone here who can help?
Does anyone have any amigurumi patterns they are willing to share? I'm
looking for some that come out the size a thumb, or smaller, if that's
possible. I did see one some time ago, and it wasn't...

Mirjam - how are you? by
Walker Family[_2_]
I imagine the stress level is pretty high just now and wondered how
you were coping. During a time of holy days for many religions, it
seems especially sad that there's such discord in the world. Keep us
aware of your information about things in Israel, because it would be
interesting for those...
