Erasing pencil from canvas -- Magic Eraser? by
Michelle
Hey all, I'm doing Genny Morrow's Nova and *per designer instructions*
marked off a grid and guide letters/numbers in the margins using
pencil. Naturally, only after I did that did I check to see if pencil
could come off white mono canvas, and older posts here aren't giving me
much hope.
I will be...

Being OT on RCTN by
KCat
18 out of 35 - at least.
i had unsubbed from this group as I tired of trying to wade through the OT
stuff and the persistent political battles. I know, i know, they're labeled
OT so that makes it cool.
thought I'd resub for a few minutes.
between 9/16 and 9/18 of the 35 threads I see on my...

Help! I've run a quick Google search, but people here *always* know
the answer - is there a conversion chart from Thread Gatherer threads

Thanks!

New Year's Resolutions: On and Off Topic by
anne
I will not increase my stash of frames as I never have the right one anyway.
I will do a Brazilian embroidery sampler that's been languishing in a drawer
for awhile.
I will set up a bunch of subject specific doodle cloths and label each effort
with name of stitch or process. I'll make a history...

OT rcty by
Gillian Murray
I did a few days back, and it was hilarious.
Then the NSDMIL had a yarn question ( I told her it wasn't the right
yarn, and there was insufficient, but what do I know??) So I courteously
asked a question today on rcty. No response.
I had checked after all the crap that went on, and it was...

Help "repair" my scarf... by
Koonuy
First off, im a college student thats clueless... so i figured this
would be a place to find some answers.
I have a 100% wool scarf that my mom gave me a few years ago. I left
it at home for a year or so, and finally brought it back to school
with me.
It is now stiff, fuzzy, and has shrunken. I...

Karen, what have you people done???? by

Oh Sheena, I'm so disappointed. You mean you don't agree that the new
Governor of California is wonderful. After all, he certainly has a unique
way of pronouncing the name of the state he was elected to lead --
Caleeeeeefornia. Isn't that enough of an endorsement for you????

OT War for the Spring Season :-) by
Tia Mary-remove nekoluvr to reply
OK Folks,
Lissen up. We have the Fresh (YESSSS) V. Artificial Christmas Tree Wars for
the winter and the Mayo V. MW (YUCKY stuff) Wars for the summer and Coke (OK)
V. Pepsi (BEST) Wars and PEEPS Wars for the slow times. I got to thinking that
we have nothing for the Spring. Personally, I feel...

2017, should we try to revive the group? by

I forget to come and see what is happening, and I guess a lot of us are in the same boat.
So, what are we all up to with our stitching?
My stitching goal is to finish as many of my dozen or so WIPs and WISPs as I can in 2017. I am going to get them out, pat them gently and then put them in a...

Color Conversions for Lavender & Lace Celtic Seasons series by

I've been admiring the Celtic Seasons series, but I had one big reservation:
the color palettes for spring, summer, and fall all seemed rather similar. I
would love to do these big beautiful designs, especially with the gorgeous
illuminated lettering, but I almost felt like I'd be doing the same...
