'hand made' quilts by
Taria[_2_]
While looking through furniture stores today dd and I happened on a really
pretty embroidered import quilt. I walked over to take a look at it and dd
shoook her head and made this comment:
"made lovingly by chinese dissidents". Kid gets her
sense of humor from her father.

OT? Cotton Clothesline by
Dannielle
I know that I am not the only one addicted to making those fabric
wrapped coil bowls. I am trying to find the best place to purchase
the clothesline, but having a hard time finding anything worth while.
Does anyone here make these things and have a favorite (bulk or not)
store?
Thanks!
Dannielle

claudia
Good evening everyone.
Ok, brainwaves are getting more frequent. I keep getting ideas. I am
toying with an idea for a baby quilt and I have come up with Sunbonnet
Sue. I know, nothing really earthshattering there. My idea basically
is to enlarge a Sunbonnet Sue pattern that I like to about 400%...

for me and my kids, can anyone point me to a pattern or instructions as
to how to make them fit correctly! Once I know what to do, I'll just
have to watch...

well and I can jettison the crutches and start walking. Whoo hooo!

At the doctor's office (ON topic) by
Edna Pearl
Today I went to see a new doctor. The minute I opened the front door to his
clinic, there on the back wall facing the front door was a queen-size string
quilt with hand ties in addition to the quilting. It was amazing. I peered
behind the quilt (it was perfectly hung by a sleeve on a curtain...

Ping Kate T by
Edna Pearl
Kate, you mentioned a quilt shop in Foley, Alabama. I did a google search
and found a "Lacy's Quilt Studio" on Highway 59. Today my SO and I were
going to shop at the "cheese hippies" in Elberta, so we looked for Lacy's
and learned that she had closed.
So don't plan on visiting there the next...

keeping silk and other fine applique threads on the needle by
Musicmaker
How many of you belong to TQS (the quilt show online with Ricky and
Alex)? Episode 310 – Needlework at Its Finest (Liuxin Newman)
is where I learned a very very cool way to secure any kind of thread
on the needle with NO knots and the needle NEVER unthreads. It has to
do with piercing the thread...
